My List of Top 10 Foundations of 2020 : Honest Review

Choosing the right foundation can be quite a hectic task, it needs heavy investment in terms of our time, money as well as efforts, why? Because the foundation is the base that will eventually define how our final look will turn out to be and if the process, somehow goes wrong then as a result we will turn out to look miserable. I have gone through the same problematic process a lot of times in my life but it all turns well, when the end turns well, yes. I have finally found my perfect match. Not only one but a variety of them, different according to different occasions.

In this article, I am going to present to you a list of my top all-time favourite foundations with a mini-review of each of them, but before, I am going to give you guys a little disclaimer - All the below mentioned reviews are according to my personal experience with the product and hence based on my personal opinion, which may vary from person to person.

I already have arranged my list into ascending order of their price and I know due to the coronavirus situation we really can't go out for shopping, that is why I have provided you with Amazon link for each of the product as well, some of the products listed here are drugstore, some in the middle range while a few are from the high end as well, so there sure is something for everyone :

This foundation is the favourite of a lot of beauty bloggers and rightfully so, because this one blends like a dream, gives you a very natural finish and lasts for a very long time.

Maybelline fit me gives you a medium to light coverage, nevertheless, it doesn't make your skin look cakey and the finish like I mentioned earlier is quite natural but at the same time really matte so it's good for almost every skin type, but for people who do have dry skin, I would always recommend to either use a good moisturizer or a primer before applying this foundation, otherwise this foundation is amazing and light on the pocket as well. It usually lasts for 6 to 7 hours which is good, if we consider it's the price. This product works well with concealers and other products that you are going to apply on your skin so you wouldn't have to worry about that either. There are currently 18 shades available in this product range so it's a win-win situation as you will find your match. The consistency again is amazing neither too thick nor too thin so you can easily use a beauty sponge, foundation brush and if you have none of them, it can easily be applied with your fingers as well.

It is a very beginner-friendly product and definitely won't give you any problem whatsoever. This foundation is super affordable, so for people who are on a budget looking out for a great foundation that too for any skin type, this is the one that you should go for. I highly recommend it.

This is again a pretty affordable foundation with very buildable coverage, so you can easily put on one layer and then build it up to a full coverage foundation with another layer. It is very close to how Maybelline's fit me, feels but if you are one of those people who are looking for a foundation on a budget but with very good coverage, this is the one. This foundation also suits all skin types but if you are someone with extremely dry skin, I would again recommend using a good moisturizer before applying it on your skin. There are currently 8 shades available for this product.

This is a medium to full coverage foundation which gives you a dewy finish, it is not exactly matte and instead gives you a very nice glow on your face so I prefer to use it for special occasions, parties and stuff. One thing to note is, when you are trying to blend this foundation, it can look a little cakey but after some time that settles down on its own, so by the time you're down doing your makeup, it looks flawless and nice.

This foundation doesn't feel dry on the skin and is rather excellent for people with dry skin as it kind of hydrates your skin. It feels very light and very nice. One of the best things about this foundation is that it does come up with a pump so application is not that difficult, the consistency is a bit thin but again you can use just any tool to apply it as it blends like a dream. There are 14 shades available in L'oreal true matte super blendable foundation so I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find your match.

The only con this foundation has is that it might not be great for people with oily skin, apart from that, this foundation is quite affordable and the quality is pretty good as well.

This one is a recent obsession of mine, I never usually go for a stick foundation as I prefer liquid foundation over them but this one has completely blown me away. Its consistency is so good that it completely melts into the skin and blends in very beautifully, it not only looks gorgeous but stays on the skin for a very long time as well. There are currently 18 shades available in this product line so you will very easily find your match.

The basis difference between L'oreal infallible and true match is, that true match gives you a glowy finish while this one gives you a solid matte finish and also true match starts to kind of fade out after 5 to 6 hours whereas this one stays on for as long as you want, it is truly a 24-hour foundation that doesn't budge from the skin.

They do have another version of this foundation, which is infallible Pro-Matte and that is for people who have an extreme case of oily skin.

The consistency of this one is quite thick so I would recommend using a beauty blender or a makeup sponge to apply it. This foundation gives you a medium to full coverage and it blends pretty nicely on the skin, it can feel a little dry on people who have very dry skin so you should use a moisturizer or primer before applying this on, it is easily buildable and works well with every other product you use on your skin.

The only con that this product has is that it does oxidise a bit so if you are planning to buy this foundation, go for a lighter shade than your skin tone to match it perfectly, there are 11 shades available in this product range so you are more likely to find your shade but just make sure that you are buying a shade lighter than your skin tone, other than that it's a great product, though slightly expensive than the foundations that have been mentioned above but again in comparison this foundation does last for a very long time when compared to the others, so people who want a foundation that lasts for a long, long time on the skin, this is the one you should go for.

This foundation comes in a huge variety of shades so you will easily find your match, the idea behind this foundation is so nice, as you can use a small amount of this product and you'll get a sheer coverage, you can add up the drops and you'll get a medium coverage and then if you add four or five drops, you are going to get full coverage, so this foundation is great for those who are looking for that flexibility of coverage in their foundation, the only con for this foundation is, that I wouldn't recommend it to people with extremely dry skin or you can just moisturize well before applying this one as this is supper matte on the skin so because of that reason it might feel a little dry on skin but other than that it's a great foundation, with great coverage, amazing appearance on the skin and it just makes the skin look very smooth and flawless. A total of six shades are available in this foundation.

This is an amazing foundation, at times you wouldn't even need to use a concealer with this one as this will give you a solid full coverage if you have the means to build it. With this foundation, a very little goes a long way.

The consistency of this foundation is slightly thick so I would recommend using a damp beauty blender, it sure gives you a flawless finish and blends perfectly as well. This foundation is neither too matte nor too dewy, it gives you that perfect natural effect on your face and this also lasts for a very long time on the face, it is sweat proof and stays put on your face for a very long time, there are 7 shades available in this product range so it might not be that difficult for you to find your match. This is good for all skin types and the pump is again, the cherry on top.

I did not like the foundation stick from the same all-time pro range but this foundation is beautiful, it blends easily and gives you full coverage. This foundation is so good on skin that the moment you apply it, it feels velvety and nice.

The consistency of this foundation is slightly thin so they have given a dropper attached to the cap, therefore, it's very easy to apply it, you can either use a beauty blender or a foundation brush as it blends smoothly and gives you amazing coverage, at times with this one as well, you really wouldn't need a concealer. It gives your face a very natural glow and is quite hydrating as well.

The biggest plus point of this foundation is that it's completely paraben-free so it would work like magic even for people who have sensitive skin.

The only con that this foundation has is that there are only four shades available in this particular foundation, I wish that they introduce more shades as this foundation is flawless.

This foundation is one of the best foundations I have ever used, this gives you full coverage and you'll need a very small amount of product to cover up your entire face and it even gives you an airbrushed effect, the coverage of this foundation is so great that it beats all the foundations mentioned above in that very aspect. The consistency of this foundation is super, super thick and it dries up pretty quickly on your skin so I recommend using a damp beauty blender. I never use a concealer when using this foundation, as this gives a solid full coverage.

This foundation is highly perfumed so I wouldn't recommend it for people who are allergic to perfumes.

There are 30 shades in this foundation which is pretty great as you'll find your perfect match very easily, so if you are looking for a high-end foundation then this is a must-have.

This foundation is a very skin light foundation so once you wear it on your skin, it just looks like skin. It is so smooth on the skin, I would highly recommend this to people who are on a more dryer spectrum of skin texture as this is more of a hydrating foundation and it works very beautifully on the dry skin as well. There are currently 40 shades in this product range, which is the highest in my list of foundations and most probably in a lot of foundations out there, so it is very very easy for everyone to find Shade that matches closest to your skin
