Regrow Your Hair!

A simple, natural and inexpensive hair regrowth shampoo recipe.

Hair Growth Shampoo

This is working for me. I have a lot of new growth that is around 1 inch long all over my head. Too much lavender oil in the mix will make your hair oily. Remember to store in a cool, dark place.

  • 1 Tbsp vegetable glycerin
  • 1 Tbsp African black soap
  • Pure lavender essential oil

How much lavender oil you use depends on your skin sensitivity. Personally, I use a very high amount.

Put the ingredients in a 4-ounce bottle. The African black soap dissolves after a while. Shake well before each use. I leave this mixture on for a minute or two before rinsing through my hair. This is the only shampoo, face wash, body wash I use.

This shampoo is very sudsy and feels/smells luxurious.

This shampoo can be diluted with water by at least half; try out different amounts of water if you’re trying to stretch your product.

I am posting this recipe because it was requested.Use it at your own risk, as I will not be held responsible for any ill reactions. What this means is; if after using any of my recipes, your hair falls out, you go blind, you grow another head or your in-laws decide to move in permanently; you cannot sue me.

Lavender oil can cause allergic reactions in certain people. Strong amounts applied to the skin will create an even worse reaction. It is always best to test some on a small patch of skin for at least 48 hours before using on hair/skin.

      ceholmes,

African Black Soap is a really good product for cleansing. It seems to leave enough natural oils that my hair/skin isn't dry after shampooing (I get very dry hair with normal shampoos.)

I do moisturize once a week (or so) with pure castor oil. I am working on a Hub for that too. :-)

One down side of using a lot of lavender oil is that it made my hair a bit oily. Took me a while to figure that out, LOL! I cut back on the amount of lavender oil and now I'm not oily.

You do have to be careful when purchasing the soap. There are unethical people selling "African black soap" that is not really black soap.

I did not order from that site but that is a good page with explanations.

It is good for various skins conditions as well.

this sounds interesting. I know lavender oil grows hair but never hair of the black soap.
