New Surgery For A Youthful Look.

Updated on September 15, 2009

A lot of people are opting for cosmetic surgeries nowadays to reverse the signs of ageing and to keep people guessing their age.Not all surgeries are safe and the end result is something you dreamed of but the new ribbon surgery is a better choice than facelift the regular way where one needs to go through pain, discomfort and the recovery takes longer. In the quest for beauty women have gone through a lot botox, fillers, dermabrasion, laser treatments. The stretched look of botox and some of the regular surgeries is undesirable rendering a fake look.

As people age they lose the plumpness in the face from around the eyes, cheekbones, sides of the lips, forhead etc.

Plumping the face does make one look youthful !

Gone are the days of going under the knife to look younger, the new ribbon surgery lift seems quite promising as there is only a little surgery involved ,only two incisions are made one can expect minimal scarring and negligible pain, if there is any !

So what is the new ribbon face lift?

A tube like device is placed underneath the skin, deeper into the muscle for best results. It has a lot of tiny hooks on it that attatch itself to the muscle and tissues under the skin, when it is pulled, it lifts the entire facial area and these tubes and hooks are of absorbable material so no additional surgery is require to remove them.

It takes 6 to 12 months to be dissolved completely and doesnt cause any discomfort. This surgery should not be mistaken for the thread surgery although it shares some similarities with it.

Madonna is reported to have had this surgery done while some people think her cheeks look massive and full, majority of the people think the look is plump and youthful.

One should be very careful while selecting a cosmetic surgeon and ask a lot of questions and discuss the pros and cons.
