Olive Oil and Salt; Face and Skin Remedies

Updated on August 18, 2012

Virgin Olive Oil Skin Remedies

This will save you time and money. I love this one. Make a Sugar or Salt scrub . I have seen similar scrubs retail for $25.00 and up in Department stores.

You can make this for around $2.00 a jar or 10 cents for a single use. Mix together in the palm of your hand, 1 tbs.sugar or salt and 1 tbs.Virgin Olive Oil, using equal parts. vigorously rub your hands together, until cleansed. Wash off with warm, soapy water. Your hands will feel great, free of dead skin cells, clean, soft, and moist. In just minutes off with the grime and on with the time.

The Sugar/Salt Scrub is a great gift idea. Locate a nice jar, around 5 to 10 ounces. Soak the old label off in hot soapy water. Clean and dry the jar thoroughly. Stir together in a large plastic bowl the Sugar or Salt and the Virgin Olive Oil, using equal parts. Spoon or pour into the clean sterile jar. Seal the lid on tight.

Get creative with the directions, a gift tag, label and or bow. Take your scrub to a wedding shower or Bless a soul that needs a bit of TLC. Having a few jars on hand may be a good thing. (-;

I have seen cleared, glowing skin by sharing this secret. This is a living testimony from a friend of mine many years ago.

Mix together in a plastic a bowl 1 tbs.olive oil and 1 tbs.salt. Work well into your face. Leave on for two to five minutes. Wash off with warm, mild, soapy water. Do this for 5 days.Then go to one to three times per week The salt exfoliates, the oil restores the natural moisture to the skin.

Results Natural Face Cleanser.

In a plastic bowl, mix 2 Tablespoons Sugar or Salt to 3 Tablespoons Pure Virgin Oil. Pour into hands and work into skin. Rinse well with warm water. Rinse with cool water the last few seconds. Cool water closes skin pours.

This is sweet. Pour Virgin Olive Oil into a plastic bottle. Pour onto legs. Shave. Rinse with warm water.Towel Dry. Rub excess oil onto legs. Results are soft, hydrated, clean, smooth legs.

Men try Olive Oil on the face for shaving. My husband tore up his skin with razors. He had bits of Kleenex all over his face. (-; (My legs, his face) His razor now glides through the olive oil to get the stubbies for a smooth, velvety, soft, clean, kissable face. We both tossed the shaving cream, years ago.

DO NOT SLIP in the tub. Clean the bathtub of oils, using Comet or Ajax.

Pour 1/4 cup Virgin Olive Oil into plastic bowl. Heat in the microwave. Use more oil for shoulder length and or thicker hair. Make sure the Oil is not too hot. Apply from the cup onto wet , clean, towel dried hair. Work into the scalp, to the ends of hair. With wide tooth comb, work to the ends of the hair. Pull the hair to the top of the head, wrap in a plastic bag and clip. Make sure the bag is snug. If weather permits sit in the sun and leave on the hair for 20 minutes. The heat opens the cuticle and super conditions the hair. You can use a hair dryer on low heat if desired. Sunshine or heat is optional.

Rinse out of hair very well with warm water. Rinse Hair with cool water the last 5 seconds. Cool water seals moisture into the hair cuticle and tames the fly aways. Your hair will love you. Shine on dry, hydrated hair.

Please come back soon for more tips, tools, and time saving solutions for Home or Garden. Enjoy my true short stories of victory and hope in these perilous times we live in today.

May the 'Favor of God' shine on you today and always.

      Peg Cole, Hello sweet sister. Long time no see. This was one of the first hubs I ever wrote. It has had more hits than any of mine. I would have never thought. Woman and men love those beauty tips that cost nothing. Me included. It is a pleasure to see you. I know it is difficult to get around this growing community. You are always so pleasant and touch my heart. I have another one with Coconut oil I use. It is the best moisturizer. Noxzema hmmm. Used to use it long time ago. Loved that smell. I may pick some up.

      Products from Gods green earth are the best ever. He left nothing out in caring for His creation. What a good God. Love you Peg Cole. See you in your neighborhood soon.

      These natural beauty products remind me of the days when choices were simpler when it came to hygiene. We used the basic stuff like Noxema with camphor oil and natural additives. Thanks for sharing these useful tips made with olive oil.

      Drink a table spoonful (or more) of Virgin Olive Oil a day also helps to keep the body functioning like oil in a car , machine or a plane engine also helps to reduce blood pressure so the blood can flow properly.... people who consume the most olive oil are Italians and Greeks , they are known to live the longest !!

      I have used Olive oil mixed with salt on my hands for about 40 years and it works wonders. far better than any commercial product . As a Printer I used White Spirit a lot which made my hands very rough and dry .

      Just a tip. Pictures are great an bring a page to life. However they also push your adsense ads down below the fold so that they are not visible unless you scroll. So I put them further down the page. This absolutely increases your chances of clicks. Please delete after reading.

      hemustincrease Hello sister Thank you for coming over to my hub of love. Awesome to meet you.

      It is ok to do a light shampoo and a light conditioner after the olive oil hair treatment. Rinse in cooler water makes hair soft and shinny.

      I have discovered that the face wash is very nice. My skin has relly changed. I found a formula on line honey and brown sugar for the face, use equal parts. Wash daily using warm water work into skin, pat dry.

      I am going to add a couple of new beauty Blessings I have been using with olive oil onto this hub so check back in a couple of days. I started doing the face care program in December and in one week I had many compliments on my skin. I continue to daily get compliments. So I need to pass on the good news. The cost is pennies on the dollar!! Hugs Galore

      Stay beautiful. Many Blessings ( - ;

      Oh wow! definitely going to try these. I have tried olive oil on my hair before and it always left it greasy. BUT i did not warm it up in the microwave first. Do you think this is the trick? Plus probably just did not take enough time to rinse it all out well enough. Anyway, my face is in need of a pick me up, so going to try this before bed tonight. Thanks :)
