Updated on August 18, 2012

Virgin Olive Oil Skin Remedies

CLEAN GRIME, GREASE, OIL, DIRT OR PAINT FROM HANDS

This will save you time and money. I love this one. Make a Sugar or Salt scrub . I have seen similar scrubs retail for $25.00 and up in Department stores.

You can make this for around $2.00 a jar or 10 cents for a single use. Mix together in the palm of your hand, 1 tbs.sugar or salt and 1 tbs.Virgin Olive Oil, using equal parts. vigorously rub your hands together, until cleansed. Wash off with warm, soapy water. Your hands will feel great, free of dead skin cells, clean, soft, and moist. In just minutes off with the grime and on with the time.

The Sugar/Salt Scrub is a great gift idea. Locate a nice jar, around 5 to 10 ounces. Soak the old label off in hot soapy water. Clean and dry the jar thoroughly. Stir together in a large plastic bowl the Sugar or Salt and the Virgin Olive Oil, using equal parts. Spoon or pour into the clean sterile jar. Seal the lid on tight.

Get creative with the directions, a gift tag, label and or bow. Take your scrub to a wedding shower or Bless a soul that needs a bit of TLC. Having a few jars on hand may be a good thing. (-;

CLEAR UP ACNE

I have seen cleared, glowing skin by sharing this secret. This is a living testimony from a friend of mine many years ago.

Mix together in a plastic a bowl 1 tbs.olive oil and 1 tbs.salt. Work well into your face. Leave on for two to five minutes. Wash off with warm, mild, soapy water. Do this for 5 days. Then go to one to three times per week The salt exfoliates, the oil restores the natural moisture to the skin.

Results Natural Face Cleanser.

SUGAR OR SALT SCRUB FOR BODY OR FACE

In a plastic bowl, mix 2 Tablespoons Sugar or Salt to 3 Tablespoons Pure Virgin Oil. Pour into hands and work into skin. Rinse well with warm water. Rinse with cool water the last few seconds. Cool water closes skin pours.

SHAVING OIL, SMOOTHE ON

This is sweet. Pour Virgin Olive Oil into a plastic bottle. Pour onto legs. Shave. Rinse with warm water.Towel Dry. Rub excess oil onto legs. Results are soft, hydrated, clean, smooth legs.

Men try Olive Oil on the face for shaving. My husband tore up his skin with razors. He had bits of Kleenex all over his face. (-; (My legs, his face) His razor now glides through the olive oil to get the stubbies for a smooth, velvety, soft, clean, kissable face. We both tossed the shaving cream, years ago.

DO NOT SLIP in the tub. Clean the bathtub of oils, using Comet or Ajax.

DRY SUMMER HAIR RELIEF

Pour 1/4 cup Virgin Olive Oil into plastic bowl. Heat in the microwave. Use more oil for shoulder length and or thicker hair. Make sure the Oil is not too hot. Apply from the cup onto wet , clean, towel dried hair. Work into the scalp, to the ends of hair. With wide tooth comb, work to the ends of the hair. Pull the hair to the top of the head, wrap in a plastic bag and clip. Make sure the bag is snug. If weather permits sit in the sun and leave on the hair for 20 minutes. The heat opens the cuticle and super conditions the hair. You can use a hair dryer on low heat if desired. Sunshine or heat is optional.

Rinse out of hair very well with warm water. Rinse Hair with cool water the last 5 seconds. Cool water seals moisture into the hair cuticle and tames the fly aways. Your hair will love you. Shine on dry, hydrated hair.
