Quick and easy Summer Beauty

Updated on June 27, 2008

Summer Beauty.

Easy summer beauty for everyone.

For a lot of us Summer means more than hot days at the beach and the opportunity to frolic. For some of us Summer brings with it big changes to our beauty routines. Are you at a loss as to what to do in the long steamy Summer days? Here are some quick tips to save you time and discomfort and keep you looking fabulous.

First thing, try switching from regular foundation to a tinted moisturizer with SPF. The easiest way to do this is to take your foundation you normally use, and add it to a daytime moisturizer appropriate for your skin type. Find yourself a little travel sized bottle and start out with a three to one ratio of moisturizer to foundation and add a little foundation until you're satisfied with the coverage and consistency.

For an even more fresh faced and easy approach try skipping coverage all together. Put a little loose powder in shiny areas after you put on your sunscreen, add some mascara and a nice lip-gloss and you're all ready to go.

To make sure you keep your skin healthy all summer remember that all of us need sunscreen, don't get carried away with astringents and toners. Over cleaning your face can result in breakouts, peeling and skin irritation you don't want. Even with oily skin, remember to be gentle and don't get over excited with your oil control products.

For easy summer beauty on the go, carry your favorite lip balm, travel sized hand lotion, and some moist towelette just in case you need to freshen up a bit. You don't have to carry a little bit of everything. To save money use refillable travel sized containers that are available at any drug or discount store. Buy large bottles of your favorite lotions and take a minute to fill up a little bottle to carry around.

For a little variety try out a new shade of lip gloss or try a little sparkle in your face powder. Feeling bolder? Try a fabulous nude eye with bold lips. This Summer there are also some fabulous colored mascaras out to give your eyes that extra little pop of color. The possibilities are endless and all will help you survive the Summer beautifully and easily.
