Turmeric & Mint Juice Mask

Turmeric is a superfood with many health benefits. Part of what makes Turmeric a superfood is that it has excellent anti-inflammatory properties. These anti-inflammatory properties are part of the reason that turmeric is especially effective at treating various skin conditions, including blackheads.

Mint is also an excellent natural remedy for various skin conditions. Mint has anti-pruritic properties, meaning that its juice can soothe and calm skin. Mint oil is also a natural astringent which is effective at treating acne and blackheads. Finally, mint contains Vitamin A which may strengthen skin tissue and help reduce oily skin.

When combined, turmeric and mint are an excellent combatant of blackheads. You can use the turmeric and mint juice mask described below to get rid of blackheads.

Make Mint Juice

In order to make the mint juice, in a blender puree 1 cup of loosely packed mint leaves with 2 cups of water. Then strain the mixture through a cheesecloth over a bowl. Discard the mint pulp and cheesecloth. The liquid in the bowl is your mint juice.

Make the Mask

Combine equal parts mint juice with turmeric powder.

Use The Turmeric & Mint Juice Mask

Apply the mixture to blackheads and let sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off the mixture with warm water.


Turmeric & Coriander Mask

As discussed above, turmeric is an excellent natural remedy for blackheads. Additionally, coriander or cilantro is also a great way natural remedy for clear skin.

Make the Mask

Mix 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder with 1 teaspoon of coriander juice.
