New Easter Dress Specials

I remember as a child picking out a special dress that I would wear to church on Easter Sunday. It was usually pale in color, with wonderful girly ruffles and bows. As I got older, I didn’t always have to have a new dress, but I would still wear a favorite spring dress with sweet pastel colors.

Once I got out on my own, a new Easter dress was rarely in the budget, so I usually just wore one of my nice dresses that looked sort of Easter-like. My favorite Easter dress as an adult was a lacy dress the color of a dusty antique rose. I got it at a garage sale for only a quarter because it had a big stain on it. Taking a chance on it, I took it home, and guess what? The stain came right out. I paired the dress with a big floppy hat (I love hats!), and my Easter attire was complete. But I digress.

New Spring Fashions

What is in fashion for this spring? And where is the best place to get your own special spring dress for Easter? From what I can tell, the colors that are fashionable this spring are pretty much what one would expect to wear for Easter: cool blues and greens, yellow and pink. I have noticed that red is in fashion, too. And florals always work for Easter. I’ve found a few online stores that have some sales for spring fashions, mainly for women and girls, but some that carry deals for the men in the family, too. And a plus for me—they carry Easter hats, too!

Easter Clothing at Sears for the Whole Family

Of course, little girls’ Easter dresses are always the cutest, so let’s start with them. From watermelon colors to gingham knit dresses, the styles are just delightful. Sequins, satin trim, and bows are all over these dresses. Any little girl would feel special in the white princess dress. Then there are the cute butterfly and dotted dresses.

Women’s styles come in pastels and florals, from knit to crochet. They’re long or short, many sleeveless with the option of a jacket. Sears has always been a dependable clothing store for the entire family, and the spring season is no different. Men and boys can also find great deals on spring fashions. With online coupons, the whole family saves.

And, yes! Sears has Easter hats, floppy and flowery, for both women and girls. And even for men!

Kmart Savings on Easter Wear

Kmart might not be the store that first comes to mind when thinking about spring fashions, but their selection is large—and affordable. Women can slip into stylish dresses from designer Sofia Vergara. Short and long, sleeveless or not, with wrap dresses, too! And lots of florals! I was impressed with the great spring colors, too, including pretty blues and hues of peach and orange.

Kmart has cute girls’ dresses, too, of course. They are jeweled and glittered to make any little girl feel like a princess. Plus there are the cute dresses, such as the butterfly babydoll and the trapeze dress. Skirt sets are another option.

There seem to be some options for men and boys, too. And, yes, hats for women and girls! Did I say that I love hats?

Save on Easter clothing for the whole family!

There are other stores out there that carry Easter attire, but these two caught my eye with their variety and affordable prices. Shop online with Sears coupon deals that offer discounted Easter wear for the whole family. Using the SPRINGSTYLE10 coupon code at checkout can save shoppers an extra 15% on Easter dresses and clothing for the whole family.

Check out Kmart discount codes, too, as they have more great selections and 30% discounts on Easter dresses and dresswear for the family. Kids' shoes are even buy 1, get 1 free. Whether you need a fashionable spring dress and hat for Easter Sunday or just want to spruce up your spring wardrobe, you’re sure to find what you want at one of these stores. Happy spring!

Effer--It's so good to see you!!! I've missed you. I hope you are coping as well as can be expected. I am touched that you came to see me!

I try with the holidays. It brings some holiday traffic! An Easter Bonnet with ear muffs sounds great! It's supposed to be cold and rainy tomorrow here, but nothing like your weather, I trust.

Great to see you! You have a nice Easter soon. We will talk soon, my friend. :-)

Hello, my dear friend, Vee.....I'm slowly returning to peek in and out...and of course, leave my comment! I HAD to visit YOU!

I just love the way you make every Holiday or Special day, such an important, festive occasion. I think I need some of your enthusiasm!!

With our NY weather as it has been lately (very UN-Springlike) I'll probably buy a new fuzzy robe with slippers to match.....and maybe an Easter Bonnet with ear muffs. UP++ Have a wonderful Easter.

You gave us some excellent direction here -- good Hub! Like you, I'm a hat person (year round) and have found several hats that I just "redecorate" yearly for Easter. A good, wide-brimmed staw is always an excellent choice for refurbishing. Best/Sis

Martie, my mom used to make me dresses, too. She made me lots of clothes. Oh, I know, kids now get so much bestowed upon them. I'm glad you enjoyed the hub. :-)

I remember when I was a kid we got a new (homemade) dress for Christmas and one for Easter - 2 new (best) dresses per year. My own children got something new for each special occasion. But then, special occasions in my time, including weddings and funerals, were not that often. Maybe 4-5 times per year. Now I am speechlessly observing my children and their peers' excessive supplying of clothes and toys for their children.

You've pulled some wonderful memories with this hub of yours, Victoria. Thank you!

Hey, Susan, I love to see kids dressed up for Easter. We have a Kmart in the next town, but they're not around as much as they used to be, I don't think. Thanks for reading!

The other day I was thinking about Easter and how when I was a little girl I'd get a new dress, hat, gloves and shoes for Easter. I don't see children dressed up that much any more on Easter Sunday, here at least. I think all the K-Marts are gone in Canada. We do have a new Target opening soon.

So cute! Gosh - those hats bring back memories (of my Easter bonnets). And the little vest & shirt reminds me of dressing my sons. I always wished for some little girls, too.

I wish we still had a K-Mart here, we haven't had for many, many years now. Wal-Mart needs some competition, they have junk for clothes. We do have a Cato's here, that is where I like to shop for my clothes. There are fairly priced and they have a lot of selection. I just bought my youngest granddaughter a new Easter dress, yellow and navy blue trim. It is so much fun buying for the little ones. Up and userful! Have a wonderful day! :)
