How Much Does a Tattoo Cost

If you have ever thought about getting a tattoo, the first thing you think of is what design you will get. The second thing that is usually thought about is cost. There are some beautiful tattoos out there, but as with anything the larger more elaborate you want it the more you will pay. Some people prefer to save up so they can get a large, highly detailed tattoo which can run into hundreds of dollars. The majority of people aren't looking for something like that. Generally speaking, people like to get a smaller tattoo.

For a small tattoo that is about an inch will cost around $20-$30 dollars. For two to three inch tattoos you will pay $40-$60. Anything larger than a few inches will usually cost over $100 dollars. The more detail or color that you want on your tattoo will add to the price. You can always call a tattoo parlor and ask pricing for a specific tattoo. You can also take in a sketch or picture of what you are wanting and get a quote as well.
