The New Boden Spring 2011 Print Catalog
I love Boden for all their cute things. Not that I buy a lot from Boden, but I love looking at their site to get ideas on outfit pairings and on refashioning thrift store finds.
This spring's catalog is AWESOME. There are so many great items, and so many great fabrics! I'm just going to touch on a few of the "grabbers" in the lady's section of the new catalog.
The Flowerstitch Cardigan is gorgeous. Offered in Sweet Pea (pinkish), Silver Melange (grey), and Yellow, it is a gorgeous piece. Of course, since it costs $98, I think I will be trying to fashion one of these out of a cardigan I already have.
Swishy Cotton Skirt is so dainty and feminine! I cannot wait for spring to break out all of my skirts. This is a beauty, too. It comes in four beautiful prints. If you are industrious, I'm sure you could fashion this one. The lines seem simple enough. I am not enough of a seamstress to do this one, but at $78 I don't see this one getting into my closet (unfortunately!).
The Santorini Skirt is another that looks like an easy refashion. Though not one of my favorites in the new line, I thought I would feature it because it does look like a simple refashion. This one will set you back $88 if you get it online.
The Tipped Sixties Coat. Here is where my Boden allowance would go! The colors on this gold/fuschia coat are just delicious! Fortunately they offer a 20% discount at $175 or better, because this coat is $168. But again, it's so dang pretty it should be illegal!
My absolute favorite piece in the whole new catalog is the Pool Party Tunic. I. must. have. They offer it in four perfect prints, and I believe they are all equally wonderful. This long tunic has the sweetest detailed collar and is just beautiful. They are $78 each, and I need all four, so I guess I'll be researching how to rob a bank next.
Terrazzo Tunic is cute, too. I love the colors and pattern of the Red Mosaic Tunic (pictured). It reminds me of something my grandma wore back in the seventies. Maybe she still has hers and I can forgo this one at $88.
This Printed Cotton Top is quite a lovely. It has simple lines and they offer it in four gorgeous colors over two great patterns. At $58 each, it is one of the cheapest things they're offering this season.
I *heart* Boden's Spring Line
I am in love with so many things in the catalog this season. As usual, they have so many beautiful colors and patterns that it's enough to make a girl giddy.
Looking through catalogs like Boden, anthropologie, and Urban Outfitters can give you the inspiration you need to dress the part without spending a small fortune. It is also fun to refashion items to look like the items featured in these catalogs.
