The Perfect Products For Oily Skin Types
Holy grail products for oily skin are hard to come by. Anyone who has oily skin knows how hard it is to find makeup and skin care items that do not make you look like you are sweating. Over the years, I have tried countless amounts of products, trying to achieve a fully matte face. At 20, I think it have found the perfect combination.
For skin care, I start out in the morning using my GlamGlow Powercleanse Daily Dual Cleanser (the green one), which retails at Sephora for $39. This is a recent purchase of mine and it is a product I will be using for years to come. It leaves my skin feeling softer, firmer, with a clean feeling. For moisturizer, I use Artistry Time Defiance, which is lightweight and has an SPF of 15. Unfortunately, I do not know the price or where it was purchased because it was a Christmas gift from my boyfriend. The cleanser I use to take off my makeup is Lush's Dark Angels, which has charcoal in it to exfoliate my face and remove makeup from my pores. This retails for $12.95 for a small jar on the company's website. At night, I use GlamGlow again, or my Clarisonic with any type of face cleanser.
For my primer, I use the Smashbox Photofinish Blemish Control Primer, which is $42 at Sephora, but they often have a travel size, which is $16. The primer is oil free and makes your face completely matte, also locks your makeup into place day and night. For foundation, I use the CoverFx Custom Cover Drops, which is completely customizable with coverage, to mattify my face. This retails at Sephora for $44. This is the best foundation I have ever used and I build my look from sheer to dramatic. For my favorite contour kit, I use the Morphe Brushes 06f palette, which I purchased off of Hautelook for $12. This palette has contour and highlight shades that are completely matte and pigmented. For concealer, I use the 10con palette by Morphe again, with 10 concealer shades I can adjust to my skin tone. I purchased this last month again off of Hautelook, for $9. For blush, I use Tarte exposed, a matte blush that is the perfect neutral. I believe that retails at Sephora for around $28 or so. However, with blush, you can pick and choose what you personally like. Finally, for setting spray, I use Urban Decay Oil Control, which locks my makeup in all day while working long hours in the pharmacy. This retails at Sephora for $30, but they have a trial size for $14. All in all, these products are an oily girl's best friend!
