Top Ten Lingerie Essentials
If you're setting up a lingerie collection for the first time, or perhaps you're rebuilding after some kind of lingerie related tragedy (like a crazy ex who stole it and used it to create voodoo effigies), make sure that the following ten items of lingerie are well represented in your new collection. These are the building blocks of any lingerie collection, the DNA of a successful lingerie organism, if you will.
Presented in no particular order (in order to save jealous squabbling):
The t-shirt bra is perfect for wearing under sheer materials. Molded one piece cups do not show lace or seams, and also create the illusion that the wearer is a nipple-less alien creature.
Do you wear short shorts? How about tight skirts? A thong is essential for doing away with pesky panty lines. It is also handy for creating that always sexy 'whale tail' look when pulled up above the waist band of jeans.
Boy Short Panties
Boy shorts are comfortable. They also minimise panty lines because the legs of the panties sit around your thighs. If you loathe thongs with a passion equivalent to the heat of a thousand suns, then boyshorts could be a good option for you. (Going commando is also a possibility, but good girls never go commando.)
Lace Bra and Panty Set
The matching lace bra and panty set is a simple and easy way to look and feel sexy under your clothes. Failing to match your bra to your panties can signal to a potential future mate that you lack the mental wherewithal to tidy a home. Don't make that critical error.
Stockings represent classic sexy elegance. They're also perfect for disguising less than perfectly shaved legs.
Match a garter with your stockings and watch onlookers swoon.
Pantyhose may not have the same appeal as stockings and garters, but they are good utilitarian pieces of lingerie.
Some days a gal/guy just needs to be comfortable. Nuff said.
Camisoles are sweet, sexy, and feel great against the skin. They also hide less than perfect tummies on those of us who haven't used that gym membership in a few months.
A Good Keen Strapless Bra
The strapless bra is the unsung hero of most lingerie collections. Relatively plain, it hides out of sight and out of mind, giving support when necessary and asking for nothing in return. Note that if you are larger busted, a strapless bra may be more trouble than it is worth. The same caveat applies if the strapless bra fits poorly. A good strapless bra should be like a ninja, nobody should ever know it was there. A bad strapless bra results in an evening of adjusting one's self and praying that the dreaded 'fall out' does not occur.
