      Very helpful, well-written hub! I know good nutrition is important to healthy hair growth, but I never heard that cutting too much fat is bad for your hair. I guess that is one more reason to avoid low-fat foods.

      Up, useful and interesting. I used to have lovely long hair when I was young. It finally became brittle, floppy and made me look old so I had it cut drastically nearly 20 years ago. It suited me and I've kept it like that since but I still miss my long locks! However, my hair is in much better condition now and grows quite fast, so fast that I have to trim it quite often. I used to colour it a little but now I don't; I'm growing old and grey gracefully (well, not too gracefully!). My hair therefore has no colourants added to it and is conditioned regularly and is much the better for it. Your hub is a useful reminder that hair responds to diet and a stressless life just like the rest of the body does. Great read.
