Get Your Makeup Bags Ready Ladies!

Not sure where to start, never fear! With so many products out there on the market these days, it's hard to figure out which ones you need or would benefit you. Products are constantly being introduced while others are being discontinued. A good way to keep up with all the latest and hottest products could be by just simply reading some of the latest magazines or through other sources online. I have created this article just to show you in general the kinds of products that you should keep on hand that could benefit anybody who wears minimal to heavy makeup. Whatever your fancy, these products might help!

Always Moisturize!
Always Moisturize!

Moisturizer

A good moisturizer is always recommended to have on hand. Putting moisturizer on your face day and night makes for having a soft, resilient face. Also, there are different types of moisturizers by tons of brands that will suit all needs. For example, there are ones to help wrinkles if that is an issue you have. There are moisturizers for acne, or some with SPF for those that are in the sun. There's even some that have gradual tinting in them. Either way, moisturizers will benefit your face in the long run.

Do you have an oily face? Not to worry, I have one too. Do not be afraid of moisturizer if you have oily skin. Studies have shown that it's better to always moisturize your face especially if you have oily skin. Continuing to moisturize actually prevents your chemistry to produce more oil. And if you are still skeptical, there are brands who make moisturizers to match your skin whether you have dry, combination oily/dry skin, or oily.

My Pick: Ponds Cold Cream

Primer

If there was one product out there that I would consider the Holy Grail of all makeup products, foundation primer would be that product and I will never be without it. I first heard about primer when I was reading a magazine and a reader had sent in a question asking how celebrities keep thier makeup looking flawless all day long. The answer was of course- primer. This was before it was really popular and at my local drugstore they only sold one kind, which I think was by Revlon(and later got discontinued.) So I tried it on under my foundation the next day and I was hooked. You can wear it alone or under foundation and it blends easily with makeup to keep it flawless and to extend the wear of your foundation all day. Primer works especially well for consumers that have oily skin as it helps to take the oil and shine away leaving you with a smooth, matte finish longer and it's and A+ product for hiding those big pores. Plus, now that it's more popular, just about every brand of makeup will have a primer product for you. Now you can find your favorite!

My Pick: Maybelline Baby Skin Primer

I would also like to add that eyeshadow primer also makes it into my makeup bag necessities. It works the same as foundation primer only that it is for well...your eyes. It helps from keeping your eyeshadow from cracking or smearing, and like face primer, it helps to keep it there all day long. Now you would think that you could save some money and just use the face primer on your eyes, right? Well trust me, I have tried this and it just does not work that way. This product is not highly demanded right now, so for those of you looking for it at drugstore or what not, it is hard to find. But the more expensive brands have them and you can find all sorts online that work great! In addition to that, they also make a lip primer too, but I have yet to try that. I have linked two great sites for all of the above down below. Enjoy.

My Pick: Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

It's Not Just For Setting!
It's Not Just For Setting!

Makeup Setting Spray

You have moisturized your skin, and added all that great primer to ensure your makeup looks flawless all day long. Maybe you tried out some new, hip makeup look you saw one of those talented YouTube beauty gurus do in a video. Now, your last step is to set all that beautiful makeup and keep it looking flawless all day and in any weather. A good makeup setting spray does just that and its the last of your application so you can spray and be on your way! Once again, there are many different brands that are suited to your skin type. Plus, there are a ton of uses besides just setting your face. You can find some hacks above. So, be sure to shop around and find the one best suited for you!

My Pick: Urban Decay All NIghter

The possibilities are endless to create what you put on your face whether its an all-day look or a night out on the town. Just have fun ladies!
