What I'm Bringing to England
Next week I'll be going to London and Cornwall in England. Now, it's summer here, but their weather is very different from ours! Right now it's shorts and tank tops weather where I live, but over there I'm going to need some fall clothes. These are some of the things that I'm bringing for my trip!
BLAZERS ON BLAZERS
Blazers are super cute for fall, and they're great to bring on trips because you can mix and match with different shirts!
I have a blazer similar to the burgundy one, which is great for when I travel. I can dress it up or dress it down. Anything that is versatile is awesome because I don't have to worry about bringing another jacket for going out to a nice dinner.
The tan blazer is great for a casual day, and I love wearing a denim shirt under them! Blazers give you a classic style while being practical for travel.
ARMY GREEN
Army green is a great color for travel! It's different enough to add some color and uniqueness to your outfit, but it's also practical and versatile.
I have an army green jacket that I wear EVERYWHERE. It's so cute and crazy comfortable, perfect for a vacation!
I have a pair of pants that are this color, but a little darker. They're great because they give me a pop of color, but it's not hard to match with some boots and a top.
SCARVES AND SWEATERS
Obviously since I'm going somewhere cold, I'm bringing some scarves and sweaters. However, scarves and sweaters can have the opportunity to make your outfit very unique.
Scarves are light, so they won't add much weight to your luggage. When I'm packing, I like to pack some colorful scarves or a patterned one like the one from the picture. Don't forget that scarves can have the benefit of warmth, and make an outfit stand out. Also they're great for layering, you can always take it off if the weather warms up during the day, and put it back on when it's cooler at night.
Sweaters are also great for layering. You can always take your sweater off and tie it around your waist during the day if you get hot. They're also useful for the plane. I'm wearing an outfit just like the one in the picture on my plane ride to London. I tend to get cold on the plane, so I like to wear boots and a sweater. It's also cute for when you get off, which is great since normally you land in London in the morning.
DON'T FORGET ACCESSORIES
Just because you're leaving the country, doesn't mean you can't accessorize! This necklace is gorgeous, and could be a great pop of color for an outfit. Jewelry isn't that heavy nor will it take up space in your suitcase. You can always pack some bracelets and rings too. Remember to bring costume jewelry, nothing expensive!
TIPS
Don't forget when you bring a purse, bring one that zips. There are plenty of pick pockets and you don't want your stuff to get taken!
Bring some bandaids, just in case you do get blisters, you don't want to have to stop your sightseeing to run in a drugstore!
Bring a case for your sunglasses. One time when I was traveling I just shoved my sunglasses in my purse, and ended up scratching the lens.
BE COMFORTABLE
While your traveling just remember to bring clothing and shoes that are comfortable. Chances are you'll be doing a ton of walking and you don't want to get blisters. If you're going somewhere like London, also layer! It may be warm during the day, but at night and in the morning it can be very chilly. Just because your traveling doesn't mean you have to wear the same thing over and over again! Bring items you can mix and match. Also packing some cheap accessories can be a great way to mix up your outfit.
Also, don't forget to have fun!!
