Winter Beauty Must-Haves!

Updated on May 28, 2011

What beauty products do we need to overcome the winter days? Here are the products that I recommend, which worked for me. It's a list of products for face, body and makeup.

Face

Starting off with the face. Sure we don't want our skin to be dry during winter. Therefore we need the moisturizer. You all need to use moisturizer on your face. I use Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. I really like it, makes my skin fresh and hydrated. I have dry skin so the lotion works better but If you have oily skin you might like more the gel. It works really well too.

Body

Now the body. I love the lotion Aveeno Creamy Moisturizing Oil because it's not greasy and have natural oils. It's very light and makes my skin soft and silky. What I love about this product is that it's not super creamy to the point that is so hard to blend in your skin. I hate lotions like that. This one melts in your skin very easily and smells amazing.

In body wash you want to use something that is very moisturizing. My favorite one is Olay  Body Ultra Moisture Body Wash. It's a great deal, really fells good on your skin, it feels like you're clean and moisturized at the same time.

Next one, is my Mac Fix Plus. You can use almost for everything, on your hair, face and skin. It's good to use on your face if you need extra moisturize or set your makeup. if you fell like your skin is extremely dry, just spray on and you will feel better. It's a great product mainly because it can be used anytime, it's always good to have it around with us. I do have.

Lips

The 2 lip balms I've been loving lately is:

  1. Carmex – I've used plenty of tubes and I've been trying to find another products to fight the dry lips, but I always end up coming back to this particular product as it is the only thing that works for me. It provides that nice glossy look plus, it doesn't make my lips dry in like 15min like others lipbalms out there, it just keeps my lips moisturized the whole day.
  2. Jurlique Love Balm – I've been using everyday. Smells very nice and it's like an oil to your lips. Makes them look shiny and smooth.

For my lips I also use a lot of lip gloss during the winter because it kind of helps seal your lip moisturizer and lipstick especially if you use sticky lip glosses. I love the dazzleglasses because it's super sticky, stays on your lips forever and helps seal that moisture on your lips.

One of my favorites is the Baby Sparks.

For lipstick, I like Anna Sui because it's really moisturizer. I've already tried several lipsticks, and most of them dried my lips rather quickly. The Anna Sui ones are very moisturize and smell like roses, I really love it! What I use is Anna Sui Rouge G 701.

Makeup

For checks I love using my Bobby Brown Pot Rouge for lips and cheeks. You can use for your lips, as a lipstick and then put a lip gloss on top of it and as a cheek color or a base and then put a powder blush on top of this. So these things have several different uses.

As a bronzer I use Stila Sun Bronzing Bronzer Powder. Smells so good and it goes on so nicely, I don't look powdery at all. You can use it as blush, as contour and as overall bronzer especially during the winter when we get really light skin.

Hands

My favorite hand cream is L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream. It lasts a quite long time, since I bought it last year and I still have some. I always carry two with me. One's at home and another one is always in my purse. It is definitely some good stuff!

I also use Melt Away Cuticle Eliminator by Butter. I didn't think it would work but it really does. You kind of shake it a little bit. Then you open it and it has a little brush like a nail polish. Simply apply on your cuticles and then you wait the skin to absorve it. By using this, it makes so much easier to push your cuticles back. It's not only useful for cuticles but also for non-skin infections.

That's it! I hope you enjoy this hub and that it will be useful for you.
