advantages to push up bras

Updated on December 15, 2010

The well known and much loved push up bra has become increasingly popular among women of all ages. There are several reasons for the increasing popularity of this particular brassiere for women, and while each individual woman has her own reasons for opting for a pushup bra, the majority simply love the enhanced cleavage that it offers.

Are there other reasons why women prefer pushup bras over regular everyday brassieres? Absolutely! Let's take a look at the top five reasons that we've uncovered.

Push up bras are a great alternative to breast augmentation surgery. A really good push up bra can cost quite a bit of money but nothing compared to breast augmentation to give the breasts a lift. Yes, the lift that pushup bras offer is temporary but if a woman is okay with that then these brassieres are a great alternative to expensive and invasive breast augmentation surgery. A really good push up bra will only cost a woman about $50-$60 dollars compared to surgery that costs thousands of dollars and can lead to complications.

Victoria's Secret and specialty online lingerie stores like HerRoom, Bare Necessities and Pampered Passions have gained popularity over the years. These stores provide high quality, sexy, and sophisticated push up bras, brassieres, lingerie and intimate apparel for women from AA cup to H cup. And, there are certain bra styles that offer an extra boost beyond the regular push up. The "Very Sexy" style of push up bra at Victoria's Secret is one such bra that offers women that extra super lift.

Women love push up bras because men love the results! The majority of men are attracted to bigger breasts and that is exactly the image and purpose of a push up bra. When women are wearing their best attire to impress their sweetheart (or a potential suitor) they certainly do not want to skimp on the cleavage area.

Push up bras are becoming increasingly comfortable. These types of bras used to be something that women loathed because they lacked comfort and the underwires were not particularly flexible or soft to wear. Well, there are all sorts of new "technologies" in the bra and intimate apparel industry that are making brassieres in general far more comfortable to wear. So when a woman is choosing a bra and they all provide the same level of comfort, why not choose one that gives great cleavage?

Push up bras have evolved from being a garment for special occasions to becoming a garment for everyday wear. Because of the comfort, versatility, and style of this sassy piece of lingerie, women are flocking to it as a boost to their lingerie wardrobe.

Push up bras are without a doubt one of the most popular and easily recognizable bra styles available in department stores and online lingerie stores today. From Milan to Minsk these brassieres are now a must have lingerie drawer basic that grace the figures of beautiful women all over the world. If, you haven't tried one of these brassieres, then take some time and discover the fabulous cleavage that you've been missing.

I am a male with a condition called "gynecomastia", and cannot afford surgery. I am not ashamed of my condition. I choose to enhance what I have rather than painfully "squash" them flat. Push-up bras are fantastic and smooth out rather pointy shapes. And no I am not gay, so save your comments to yourself.

ok, I am a male and I am trying to understand my partner.

She has started wearing pushup bras and it makes me feel she wants other men to look at her. I like her the way she is (and tell her often) - she feels like she is small but i don't care about her size, I think what she has is perfect. I understand she may be doing it to make herself feel good but as a male, I don't believe men see it as that, just as a means to get physical attention. I care for her very much and I have tried to explain how I feel (jealous?)
