Bracelets For Men With Attitude
Men's bracelets can express a point of view
Once upon a time men always wore watches. Now though, with the popularity of mobile phones and other portable digital goods, it's not so important to walk around with the time tied to your wrist.
Men who like to wear something on the wrist however can now choose from a great range of bracelets created especially for those who like to show they have a particular attitude to life. For example, the shamballa-style bracelets are an expression of a personal point of view related to the teachings of Buddhism.
HipHop bracelets express cool, and classy link bracelets show personal style. Here's my selection of the great range of bracelets for men available from Amazon.
Shamballa Jewelry
What is the origin of Shamballa Jewelry?
Shamballa bracelets are a combination of 'bead and braid' where beads cut from precious stones or crystals are woven together with macramé-like braid.
The original Shamballa bracelet design was created by jewelry designer Mads Kornerup who opened a store in Paris and later in New York selling traditional jewelry based on ancient Indian and modern Scandinavian designs.Mads later partnered with his brother Mikkel to create a collection which included the now very popular Shamballa bracelet design.
The creators of Shamballa jewelry explain the unique philosophy of their designs this way:
'The philosophy is incorporated in our designs through ancient Buddhist and Tibetan symbols - for example our thunderbolt which is said to symbolize enlightenment, our Kartika dragon which is said to symbolize the severance of all material and worldly bonds - or our signature double thunderbolt, the Star of Shamballa, which is a reminder to each and every one of us that we are unique just like the stars in the sky.'.

The Legend of Shamballa
The Shamballa tradition (or 'shambala') is said to be the ancient ideal of the sacred warrior, one who believes that all human beings want to lead dignified and confident lives and that this is possible with the correct training and commitment
The modern version of the Shambala teaching was developed by Tibetan Buddhist meditation master Chogyam Trungpa Rimpoche who believed that freedom can be achieved by learning to master life's challenges.
