These anti-oxidants have been promoted to help lower blood pressure and promote vascular health. Cocoa that has at least 70 percent cocoa solids has more polyphenols than red wine or green tea.

Chocolate is also known as the feel good food. Especially for women during a particular time of their life and cycle. Their brain chemistry changes and some women feel depressed and need a quick pick me up. Chocolate is the number one food craved by American women. It causes the brain to release endorphins; chemicals that make us feel good.
