Foot Pain Relief

Updated on September 28, 2011

My Feet Hurt!

If you know anyone who works on their feet all day long, like I do, then you probably have heard them complain about hurting feet. Especially those retail workers or nurses who are on their feet for a long period of time while walking on a hard floor. Often floors are simply tiles over top of concreate.

When you walk on a hard floor or stand in one place for a long time, it puts lots of strain on your feet and knees. But you will expecially have severe foot pain if you were the wrong kind of shoes. So it is really important that you wear a shoe that has really good support or you can wear a cushion insole a well. By putting insoles in your shoe, you will feel like you are walking on soft pillows that cushion your feet as you walk. Insoles are a great relief to anyone who wants more support than a shoe can provide while working on your feet for long hours.

Help My Hurting Feet

Foot Massager For Hurting Feet

Another treatment for foot pain is using a foot massager. People get foot pain relief with a Foot Massager because your feet feel so great after a long day walking. My favorite is the Deep Kneading Shiatsu Foot Massager because it doesn't just vibrate your feet. This machine gives a very deep massage. Your feet just tingle afterwords.

My favorite remedy for hurting feet though is to simply soak in epsom salts. A nice 15 to 20 minute soak makes such a huge difference. Not only does soaking in epsom salt help your feet but your legs and back get releif as well.

Another thing to cosider if you are having problems with sever foot pain is to take a serious look at your weight. I know when my weight is up my feet always hurt me more because I am carrying around more weight.

And of course if you have cronic foot pain that doesn't go away, you should always visit a doctor.

Wendy, Voted up, useful, awesome, interesting. Sorry, didn't vote funny because foot pain is NOT a laughing matter. I have Neurothopy in my feet as well as in all of my nerve endings as well as Fibromyalgia and 3 back disks in my back. Love the advice in this hub. Thanks and I didn't mean that you couldn't write comical hubs. I just thought that foot pain was not funny. Keep up your humble work. I am supporting your efforts.

Wendy -- I found a relief that is quite simple. I sleep with my feet drapped over a pillow that elevates my feet and keeps them off contact with the bed. In the morning, they feel refreshed and all the pain is gone. A nurse clued me in on that. It works. David Russell

I think all of us has suffered with foot pain at some point in our life. I love these tips. I was really intrigued that soaking your feet in epson salt can give your legs and back relief as well. Very interesting. Oh how I would love to get that foot massager. That's a heck of a price. Thanks for a great hub:)
