Forever Lazy or Snuggie?

Updated on October 16, 2014

Snuggie or Forever Lazy? Which is Better?

I just saw an ad for the latest trend in lounge wear Forever Lazy.

First, let me say that I love the name. FOREVER LAZY! I can totally relate, as far as clothes go, that is. I am the original forever lazy person regarding attire. Sweats are my friend. As soon as the sun goes down, on come the PJs.

I have also been known to snuggle up on the couch with a blanket (a makeshift Snuggie, if you will). But I also owned not one, but two, pairs of footie pajamas in high school (like Forever Lazy!). This brings me to the debate: which is better? Forever Lazy or Snuggie? Either way you go, you can stay warm and not have to turn the thermostat up with either Snuggie or Forever Lazy!

The Snuggie Sutra - Get Your Snug On!

The Snuggie Sutra - Position Yourself

From the Amazon Snuggie Sutra product description: The Snuggie is a pop culture icon that quickly developed its own cult of awareness. Few of us were asking for a blanket with sleeves, but that's because we'd forgotten how to dream. Once we'd purchased our Snuggies, we quickly realized our world had changed for the better. Now, we want to show you just what makes the Snuggie cozy and sexy.

Brilliantly illustrated with drawings of couples in flagrante delicto, our comprehensive guide includes-in ascending order of difficulty-everything from "The Warm and Snuggie" (for beginners) to "The Yes Ma'am" (perfect for hiding your flaws-not that you have any, of course!) to "The Night In" (which works great when you're staying home to page through The Snuggie Sutra).

Based on our blog of the same name, which scored mentions everywhere from The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien to New York magazine and a host of radio stations all over the country, The Snuggie Sutra covers important topics like how to convince your partner to bring a Snuggie into the bedroom and how to set the Snuggie mood (candles and Snuggies don't mix!). We are thrilled to share this first-of-its-kind sexual handbook with the reading, Snuggie-wearing, and love-making public.

@Scarlettohairy: I hate to say this, but I had some of those weird tops.

The Snuggie is opened in the back, so if you got up from the couch your back would be cold. I have thought about having the Forever Lazy for me as a Christmas present. Definitely would wonder around the house in that. Never out in public!

Blessed! Please add this to my Christmas Gifts and Blessings lens.

@bossypants: A Hatch Report. I love it! Any one?

I want a report on how the hatch works. :) For ladies of a certain age: remember those one-piece body suits (like tights and leotards in one) that had the little strategically placed "convenience" opening? Makes me shudder to this day.

Fun lens -- and thought-provoking, too!

      These pjs look wonderfully cozy.

-It's better than a Snuggie because you can walk around in it.

-It's better than footie PJs because you can add or remove socks.

Don't get it on amazon though, it's $29 for 2 of them for the price of 1 if you get it directly from their website.

I like the idea, but it looks like one would trip if walking in a Snuggie. I don't think I like footed PJs because I like to take off what I've been walking in before I go to bed. I think I'll stick to regular PJs for now. I have some warm ones. But I have to confess I did click to find out more about the Snuggies. They were out of the one I was most interested in.

I could stand having a footed pj. My feet would get way too warm and I would go hyper.

I read some Amazon reviews that praised the Slanket. Maybe you need to get one of those and compare.

Can't quite see myself in the footed jammies.

Snuggie for me. I own three. The problem with feeted pjs is that you can't rub your feet together, so they stay cold. Snuggies are perfect for snuggling with the dogs. One of my pups likes snuggling under the Snuggie so my feet stay extra toasty warm.

Ok, IF I could wrestle Mom into one of these, I so would - if only to give you the picture! We are both forever lazy.
