I have white nits in my hair but no signs of lice at all for 5 years
If you have nits, you probably had lice at some point in the last 3 months. There are some hair products, including hair dye, that kill lice. You may have had lice, and not known it because they were killed by a product.
It is kind of scary actually, if a product is strong enough to kill lice then you probably don't want to use it every day!
