Nose piercing and what to do if it comes out of your nose

cont. I sneezed about 12 times. Well, my nose ring came out. It is a screw type with a small stud on the other end. This has never happened before. Why? Is it safe to get my nose repierced with the same nose ring?

Hmm I've had my nose pierced for about 5 years and have never had the ring fall out from sneezing. Its possible that it had spun previously and was already half out of the hole when you began sneezing. Has the hole already closed? If the piercing had healed completely I would think the hole would still be open and you could just put it back in. If you do have to go to a studio to get it re-pierced they will most likely make you pay for new jewelry. This is because the only way to fully sanitize jewelry is with an autoclave and they would rather just open a new, clean, sealed item.

The hole looks like it is there and it is not closed.. It took the original piercer a try of 5 times to pierce the nose. He said my cartliage of my nose was very thick.. I don't know what an autoclave is..  Repierce or not?

If the hole is open there's no reason to re-pierce it - I would try putting the jewelry back in. It should never take a professional piercer 5 tries...if you do end up re-piercing you'll have to go through scar tissue which will make it even harder.
