Grizzly rooster feathers for fashion is there a non-synthetic alternative?

I recently brought these for my hair however after some research I found that the birds although composted were not used for meat and were cage reared. Therefore if I am to buy feathers again I'd want to get it from a source that is either eaten or sheds feathers naturally. I do not really like the synthetic ones as they don't look like feathers so was wondering if there were alternative birds to use that would give a similar look without the feather being the main focus of their production.

You could try emu feathers. They are nice feathers. Not the best natural color, but can be dyed. Here is an example of what they look like (not necessarily to buy from since I don't know about their acquisition): https://www.etsy.com/listing/101292727/ … =related-0
