Has anyone tried sugaring rather than waxing?  Any feedback?

Yes in Esthetics school I learned how to sugar...it is definitely more difficult on the esthetician..however here are some advantages..it will not tear live skin cells, the sugar will actually exfoliate the dead skin *as opposed to wax tearing skin, it's more sanitary, it will not break as many hairs as waxing, cost effective (no strips or spatulas & 1 jar can equal 1000 bucks in salon services...just to name a few advantages. But sugaring is not as popular as waxing...sad

Is it less painful than waxing?  How long does it last?

Hmm...less painful? it depends on the person's threshold for pain, I personally think anytime you are ripping hair from the root, it's gonna be painful, lol. However, most think sugaring is a tad more painful just because it is not as quick as waxing. Sugaring will last longer up to 3weeks because it is breaking off less hairs as it pulls and it is getting to the root of the hair more so than waxing...
