Best Frog Costume For Kids - Frog Halloween Costumes

Updated on August 25, 2011

Feeling hoppy and looking for a frog costume? There are amazingly good Halloween costumes for kids on the market - and a surprisingly popular style and choice for kids - and adults - are ones that come in the size and shape of a frog.

Whether you need a frog mask or a frog prince costume for a little one, there’s something to suit all shapes, sizes and budgets. For the adults among us, that want to make a splash at a Halloween party - there's a one or two that would allow for a princess and the frog costume appearance.

They're all cute and adorable, especially the ones aimed at children and babies, and they're all a little break from the usual costumes seen at parties, gatherings and events. Enjoy a hoppy evening with your children and/or significant other - with any one of the wonderful frog costumes for kids featured below.

Frog Costume

A frog costume is a great way to dress up and have fun for the day. Frog merchandise is extremely popular, be it frog décor or gifts, toys or frog jewelry.

Frog themed fancy dress is a popular costume to wear to parties and celebrations and although the theme is generally aimed at children and babies, there’s an active adult market.

Kermit the frog is popular, as are full frog costumes. There’s also a small selection of masks and other Froggie paraphernalia available for the discerning frog lover.

If you’re really stuck for money or ideas – a simple green tee and pants (think ‘St Patrick’s day’) and some green face paint and a pair of flippers will do just as well.

Happily, there’s more than enough choice in the frog fancy dress department that’s both reasonably priced and affordable.

All the children's costumes are great and it’s difficult choosing from those on offer. Many of them are cute and whimsical – though your son or daughter may protest when older as the frog photos put in an appearance.

Toddler Frog Costume

A toddler frog costume is a great way to dress up your child for a fancy dress party.

They really are entertaining costumes and bound to raise smiles and comments from other parents.

Most if not all are complete – a one piece suit that usually includes a hood that’s fashioned as the frogs head.

There’s a wide selection for you to choose from, with enough sizes, styles and prices to suit most pockets.

A frog costume also makes a great addition to the dressing-up box, something that most toddlers and pre-schoolers enjoy.

Buying one for imaginative play is good way to encourage your child’s imagination – yet it can still be used as a fancy dress costume.

There’s also a few additional extras available, though not all young children will appreciate being too dressed up for the day.

Frog Prince Costume

A frog prince costume is a popular style, though there isn’t a great deal of choice on offer.

There are more in the baby and toddler size range, with only one or two for adults. However, if nothing suits, you can always use your imagination and adapt something you already have, if an adult.

A nice suit, something green underneath, bright green socks and a frog mask with an additional home made crown should do the trick.

Though if it comes to kissing Princesses, the mask may have to go!

Frog Masks

If you need a frog mask, there are only a few to choose from. If you’re on a budget, they’re easy enough to make.

A sheet of green card, pens and some elastic mixed in with a little imagination will produce a nice, homemade frog mask.

The masks are better for adults than children and more likely to give value for money.

Most children dislike wearing a hat at the best of times, never mind a full mask!

What an enchanting idea! I find a frog costume appealing but I'm afraid to take a chance. If I were to wear one, I might meet Clarence and he would be tempted to throw me out a 7th floor window just like he did Felix in my Fable.

So I'll stick with safer costumes like Frankenstein and Dracula.
