Learn How To Hide A Tattoo - Best Tattoo Concealers
How Hard Is It To Hide A Tattoo?
In today's society, tattoos are among one of those very controversial topics. Some might consider them ugly and unappealing while others consider them to be a work of art. Some get tattoos to show commitment, others get them after a drunken night gone wrong. Whatever the reason is, there may be a time when it may become necessary to learn how to hide a tattoo & cover up your tats.
Some may say that all visible tattoos should be covered up before a job interview but really it all depends on the job. If you are entering the business of corporate finance, sadly, then having face tattoos may give your future employer the wrong idea about hiring you.
Since we live in world of judgement, having certain tattoos on certain areas may give the population the wrong ideas about a person. An abundance of visible tattoos may lead a spectator to believe that the inked is thuggish, trashy, and would never become a success. Sadly, this is obviously untrue.
Still there are many reasons someone would want to cover up their tattoo:
1. Meeting with family
2. Meeting new people
3. Do not like the tattoo
4. Job applications & interviews.
5. Religious beliefs
6. Wedding day or formal events
The list is endless.
It can be a big hassle constantly wearing long sleeve shirts with turtle necks and long pants to cover various tattoos around the body. Should this be an issue for you and the time has come when you need to learn how to hide a tattoo and learn about the best tattoo concealers, here are some quick tips from Brandi Maynard, a professional makeup artist at LeBliss Salon and Spa in Louisville, Ky.
Maynard suggest, "Start out with a color of concealer that is much lighter than what your natural skin tone is." Additionally, she mentions, you should look into getting an additional concealer a couple of shades darker than the first, to avoid spending massive amounts of money of several shades. Maynard recommends a bronze or tan color for the darker shade.
"Dermablend is a great brand of concealer used by makeup artists as a tattoo cover and it's designed to offer thick, opaque coverage to hide tattoo ink, birthmarks, and scars", says Maynard. A brand like Dermablend or similar should also be used with a translucent powder as a tattoo cover-up to ensure the work doesn't look caked up.
The concealers can be applied using a makeup sponge or your finger, in addition of a big brush to dust off the powder.
