Kiss me in the rain - Umbrellas and rain boots for women

Updated on October 9, 2014

April showers bring May flowers - And the need for umbrellas.

I'm the first one to run outside on a rainy day and wait for my fabulous boyfriend to wander by and kiss me in the rain. There's something so romantic feeling to me as raindrops shower my face and his kiss warms my soul. I rarely bring an umbrella along, unless it's a deluge outside, but I do always have an umbrella or two in my car. And, as I walk my soon-to-be soggy dogs in a soft summer rain, I love to don a pair of beautiful rain boots and stay dry under a fashionable umbrella - the more colorful the rain boots and umbrella, the better in my book.

So, when I wandered across a beautiful woman's umbrella on Amazon.com today, I knew I had to have it. In fact, there it is, right there in the photo. I love the bright color and the sunny pattern. This umbrella is sure to bring grins to my fellow rain walkers this spring.

I think a beautiful umbrella for your woman friend would be an excellent Valentine's day, birthday, or Mother's Day gift. After all, one can never have too many umbrellas.

This beautiful Starry Nights umbrella takes it's theme from the picture of the same name by Monet.

I've chosen to place this particular umbrella on this article as it's not only functional but it's also a folding umbrella so it will be easier to shake out and stow.

The ribs on this baby are unbreakable too as they're made of fiberglass - they'll stand up to the stiffest rain and wind storm.

Here's another gorgeous, vibrant umbrella that is sure to brighten any stormy day.

With just one push of a button (each and every time!) this umbrella opens up like a champ. Closing is just as easy!

If you like Tiffany stained glass designs, this is the umbrella for you.

The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

More beautiful rain umbrellas, on eBay this time

I always check eBay for pricing for things, particularly like umbrellas, that tend to not have moving parts.

Here's an umbrella on eBay that you might be interested in. The price sure is right!

My favorite video about rain

Who can forget Gene Kelly's dance in Singing in the Rain? Well, if you have, or, more likely, you're too young to have seen this fantastic musical, give it a try. Just click on the link below. And, as a bonus, there's also Barbra Streisand (one of my favorites), singing Don't Rain on my Parade.

The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain.

Rain Boots!

Like a fun tie for a man, rain boots are somewhere in your wardrobe where you can let your (wet) hair down and have some fun. Why be serious when you're going to be stomping in rain puddles?!

With 17 different patterns available, these Nomad Woman's Rain Boots are all the rage this season.

The rubber sole will keep you upright while you splash through the largest puddles. Note: the manufacturer suggests ordering 1/2 size up as they tend to run small. Also, if you have larger calves, these might not be the boots for you - just sayin'...

A perfect umbrella for a dog walker.

I'm a huge fan of dogs - just ask Barley, Killian, Rita, Gizmo, Matee, and Wilbur. Don't bother asking the cat, J.B. - he's not a fan of dogs. I think this umbrella makes quite the statement for the dog lover.

Don't just stop at this beautiful dog lover's umbrella, it comes in breed specific motifs. Click the umbrella above to the left and check it out!

Ok, I'm not proud of myself but I HAD to...

..an umbrella for the dog...

My dogs would not be seen in public sportin' this dog umbrella (and, in fact, this Fido doesn't appear too pleased), but I still think this is really funny - for other people's dogs! It's bad enough that I have to dress my smallest dogs in coats on cold days...

Here's some women's rain boots on eBay.com

eBay is an excellent place to look for rain boots - prices are generally low so buy a few pairs and mix it up a bit!

My mom and I both loved the rain. In fact, at her funeral, a light rain started as I walked out the door to the grave site. I saw this as verification that she was thinking of me. The thought still warms my heart.

Please leave me comments to let me know you stopped by.

Are you a rainy day lover like me?

Thanks! Ghoulish, massive, shlosy rain drops. Just imagine the weight of one of those things. I think a face sized raindrop would be an awful surprise, like a water balloon from a 7th floor balcony.

I love this lens - it is really delightful. Thanks for featuring Singing in the Rain and the clip from Streisand - both so memorable. I loved it when Singing in the Rain was featured on Glee as well. Great umbrellas, my favorite is definitely the Cats and Dogs.

I really do need to treat myself to a colorful umbrella and rain boots. Next payday I am doing it! Just in time for spring downpours!
