With only 218 ref. 1518 produced, only about fifth were made in pink gold as the rest were made in yellow gold. And from them, only 14 were ‘Pink on Pink” with Salmon-tailed dials with matching pink gold cases.

The watch dates back to 1948 and originally belonged to Prince Tewfik Adil “T.A” Tousan of Egypt, direct descendant of the founder of modern Egypt. Following the 1952 revolution, Prince Tewfik had to flee to the United States of America and lived his life as an academician. The Prince’s “Patek Philippe ‘Prince Tewflik Pink 1518” is still safely kept in a deposit box for decades, considering its perfect working condition.
