Pumpkin Charms

European Charm Bracelets

Create your own look with a pumpkin carriage

The wearing of charms may have begun as a warding off evil spirits or bad luck. During the pre-historic period, jewelry charms would be made of shells, animal bones and clay.

During the Roman Empire, Christians would use tiny fish charms hidden in their clothes to identify themselves among other Christians.

Since 2002, a new trend of European charm bracelets has emerged. These modular bracelets consist of a chain where different beads or charms can be put onto it. The charms are made of gold, silver or Murano glass and are interchangeable allowing the wearer to create their own look. Some of the more popular ones are from Pandora, Lovelinks, Chamilia and Trollbeads.

In the Italian charm bracelet, each charm is separate and interchangeable and lays flat against the wrist and interlocking to the next charm. A typical Italian charm bracelet has eighteen charm links.

Here are some pumpkin charms you can add to your bracelet. How about a pumpkin carriage just like Cinderella?

Pumpkin Pin

Sterling Silver Pumpkin Pin - Zarah collection

These beautiful Sterling silver pins are from Zarah Jewelry. Each piece is hand-painted using solutions containing colored granules of glass. Next, they fire the pieces in a kiln to produce an alluring richness of color. Designs are then plated in 24-karat gold and/or Sterling Silver. Some are also complemented with beads or semi-precious stones. This process creates the unique Zarah look.

Pumpkin Belly Rings

Belly Button Piercing - Made popular by Aerosmith

Belly button piercing like ear piercing is a form of body art which is growing in popularity among the younger generation. In belly button piercing or navel piercing, the actual navel is not pierced. Most common form of piercing is through the upper rim of the navel.

The navel piercing first became a hit when model Christy Turlington showed her piercing at a fashion show in London in 1993. The popularity of the piercing is accredited to the 1993 Aerosmith video for their song "Cryin" where Alicia Silverstone has her navel pierced.

One way to clean navel piercings with minimal irritation to the piercing is to mix a teaspoon of sea salt in boiling water and then dipping a cotton bud into it and gently cleaning around the piercing. The use another dry bud to stop the piercing from staying wet. This can be done twice a day for the first month and then once a day until it has healed.

Here are some pumpkin belly rings to decorate your navel not only for Halloween but also other occasions. There is even a special one for the pregnant lady! How about a pumpkin carriage to decorate your belly.
