Spy Happy Lense
Spy Optic Happy Lense Technology
Spy Optics have come out with a new lens that is far above and beyond a traditional polarized lens. Spy has released what they are calling the "Happy Lens". This new lens incorporates the traditional polarized lens and along with that it keeps out harmful light such as UV light and short wave blue light. Happy Lenses have increased contrast, which makes objects that normally look blown out from over exposure to the sun, look better. Lastly the Happy Lenses only allow in long wave blue light. Studies have shown that long wave blue light is connected to the circadian rhythm to help people get rid of the BLUES if they are in a place that does not get enough sun.
If you want to learn more check out the video below. I also took some pictures of me wearing some of the first Spy sunglasses to have the Happy Lens.
How the Happy Lense Works
Tortise with Happy Lense
Spy Alcatraz polarized sunglasses are a fun, thin, light pair, of women's sunglasses for everyday use. The Alcatraz have a Happy Lens that can be removed when in shady areas and put back on while out in the sun. A round lens that is not the same as every other pair you see out there.
We had these in our store and sense then I have not been able to find them anywhere.
Tort/grey Happy Lense
The Beachwood sunglasses are round and slightly bigger than the Alcatraz. Not so big that you get a bug-eyed look but enough to where your eyes are covered. And with the happy lens you will be feeling great in these glasses.
The Dirk have a good wrap around frame perfect if you find light coming in from the sides annoying. The sides and frame in general are a little bit bigger than the Logan and a little closer feel to the General.
The Dirty Mo is another wrap around frame which is not quite as tall as the General and Dirk. These have thinner arms which I find a little more comfortable. You will notice that when looking at the frame head on, these glasses go have a little curve.
Low profile and a little smaller than the Logan. These are a great wrap around pair of glasses.
The Discord is a shape similar to Ray ban New Wayfarer. These are a little taller and wider. I feel like I have a small face and am not as good at pulling these glasses off but I know a lot of people who can rock em. The Discord do not wrap around and have a pretty flat face.
On the right is a picture of me weating the spy optic Discord sunglasses. The frame is propionate and the lense is polycarbonate. You can get the Discord in polarised and the new happy lense. Note that the lenses are not interchangeable.

The General have a look all of their own. They are a lot more rigid looking than the Dirty Mo or Dirk. The frame does wrap around but with some interesting angles.
The Haight are very similar to the Discord only a little smaller. I thought I pulled off the Haight a little better myself. These also have a flat face and perfect for some beach days.
The Helm are also similar to the Haight and Discord with the exception the top of the frame is a little less curvy. Also there is a bonus the arms are removable. Why might you want to remove the arms? So you can put on a different pair of arms with different colors. Throw on some neon green if you’re feeling up for it.
great fit and a fun idea with the interchangable arms. I have seen some people go with red white and blue themed glasses. It is like getting several pairs of glasses for the price of one.
Glossy Black w Happy Lense
The Logan is my personal favorite spy sunglasses. I have owned 3-4 pairs over the years. They wrap around and fit almost anybody’s face. Not too big and not too small with a low profile. The Logan is great at staying on your face even if you look up or down. I would suggest them to anybody. (And they are at a lower price point too)
Logan's are my favorite in the glossy black
The McCoy has a similar face to the Logan but the arms are a little bit more slim. the face is a great size where it will catch all the light coming in. The sides have the logo framed in silver. The top has a little curve but not to the point where it looks feminine. The McCoy are a great pair of Spy sunglasses for every day.

The Touring are a little bigger than all the other glasses. With my small head I feel like these sunglasses ate my head. The frame is a lot taller than most other pairs, they have a nice rigid look and the arms on the sides are bigger.

These glasses were a little chunkey on my face but that is because I have a small head. If you don't have that same problem then these may work out better for you
