Veronica Varekova is not only one of the world's most in-demand models, but she is also one of the most active and charitable. Veronica's interests reach beyond the fashion industry as she is an avid painter and involved in the arts. She is also an active person, who can often be found on the golf courses, ski slopes, and tennis courts around the world. Born in the Czech Republic, Veronica Varekova speaks several languages and hold a college degree in Psychology and Education.

A native of Olomouc, Czech Republic, Veronica moved to New York City at the age of 19 to attend The Parsons School of Design. Upon arriving in Manhattan, Veronica met with Next Models at the urging of a close friend, and was signed immediately.With Next Models, Veronica's career took off, landing her the covers of Vogue, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and, the highly coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Her images are taken by some of the world's most prestigious photographers, including Greg Kadel, Patrick Demarchelier, Gilles Bensimon, and Peter Lindbergh, led to starring in campaigns for Chanel, Guess, Escada, Chopard, Pantene, Nivea, Gap, Patek Philip and Victoria's Secret. Veronica also appeared on a number of TV programs, including guest spots on Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, CNN, Charlie Rose, and NBC's Friends.
In 2008, Veronica successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. It was on this trip that she first met with the African Wildlife Foundation team in Tanzania and discovered her passion for wildlife. Turning her focus to charitable endeavors, Veronica was named one of the first Goodwill Ambassadors to the African Wildlife Foundation in October 2009. In this role, Varekova will aid in efforts to raise funds and awareness and to support initiatives focused on protecting endangered species, preserving large landscapes and helping local communities working in AWF's African Heartlands. Veronica is also a long-time volunteer at the SZPD Orphanage in her home town of Olomouc.
Varekova spends a good chunk of her time in Prague, although her official residence i listed in New York City.
