My Favorite Warm Socks

Updated on September 7, 2014

Warm Up Your Cold Feet

I just moved into a 100 year old house with very cold and drafty floors. My first few days here, I suffered from frozen feet and longed for warmer socks.

I had some wool socks, so I put them on. My feet were warmer, but still chilly. Then I tried slippers, but those did not help too much either.

One day I was browsing in Walgreen's and found some winter socks called Heat Holders. It looked like it might be a gimmick, but I was desperate for something to warm up my toes, so I took the chance and tried them.

These thermal socks are the real deal! I will never be without them as long as I am living in this house! They are perfect for anyone who works outside in the winter, or if you are like me, living in an older home with cold, drafty floors. Your feet will stay warm as toast in this cozy footwear!

Heat Holders Thermal Socks - Many Colors are Available

The pair I bought are black, but it turns out that these warm and cozy socks are available in many colors. These pink ones are pretty!

I am fond of pink, but not everyone likes it. More colors and sizes are available, including socks for men and kids!

Keep Your Feet Warm! - Enjoy being outdoors in winter!

Frozen feet can ruin all of your outdoor fun! I remember many times, as a child, when I had to stop playing and go inside because I simply was not dressed warmly enough. Even after I grew up and had more control over what I wore, there have been times when I found I did not have warm enough clothing on for the weather conditions I needed to deal with.

Wearing the proper footwear is the key to enjoying all of your outdoor winter activities! Make sure you and your loved ones are prepared for whatever Jack Frost brings your way!

Heat Holders Thermal Socks for Men

In my opinion, Heat Holders are the perfect thermal socks for men who work outdoors or in a cold warehouse. If you know a man whose feet get cold on the job, give him a pair of these to try! They are the warmest socks I have ever worn!

They would be great for hunters, police officers or anyone who is outside in freezing winter weather!

The forest green is nice, and would go well with green or camouflage pants. Other colors are available too.

Does your Santa have cold feet? Warm him up with these red stockings!

Heat Holders Thermal Socks for Kids

Does your child suffer from cold feet? These make terrific foot coverings inside the house during the winter!

They are also great for skiing or playing in the snow. Maybe your child has a long wait for the bus in the cold. No need for her to stomp around trying to keep circulation going. If she is wearing these socks, her feet will stay warm.

Heat Holders Ski Socks

Back when I was a girl, we used to call these knee socks. I recently had the opportunity to introduce this style to my teenage daughter. She thought they were hilarious! But, she also loved them, because they kept her feet and lower legs warm in our chilly home.

This style is designed for skiers, but you can use them for cuddling up on the sofa with a good book too! Either way, you will be able to focus on what you are doing, and not be distracted by your cold toes!

Old School Wool Socks

I still have some wool socks I bought in 1990 for an autumn canoe expedition with Outward Bound. I have been searching for more socks like these old favorites, and they are very hard to find. These seem to come the closest, and of course, they are made by a company that has been around since 1900.

If you are also looking for some old school socks, like the ones you loved in the olden days, check these out!

I got some Ugg look-alike slippers with furry inside. They do a pretty good job of keeping my feet warm but I should add these socks to get the maximum warming, I think.

One of my favorite things in life, is fuzzy socks. The kind you see around the holidays, warm- soft- and fuzzy. Nothing beats a good pair of warm socks in the winter!

Socks are really important! This would be a nice gift for any one in the family and for the homeless as well.

Wanted to let you know I cannot "like" this lens today. Squidoo says I'm up to my limit in likes so I'm going to try to remember to come back tomorrow.

Truthfully, I rarely get tot wear winter socks unless I'm visiting family in the mainland during the winter months, but occasionally I will wear a pair of socks to bed when it's a little chilly here. Maybe when it's been raining all day and the winds shift.
