Now that you have selected the perfect dress for the summer how do you keep it looking fabulous?

1. Carefully sort your laundry. You will be amazed how a white sock with a little colored stripe can turn your whites a dingy yellow.

2. Hand wash your dress. This can be a bit time consuming but it will really prolong the life of your dress.

3. Carry spot cleaners in your purse. I always carry a Tide pen or shout wipes in my purse so that I can treat nasty little spills as soon as they happen.

4 Use baking soda. I use bleach for socks and underclothes but it can be hard on delicate clothing that has lace or ribbon so I simply add a cup of baking soda to the wash and it keeps my whites sparkling white.

5. Wash in hot water!
