T-shirt styles for everyone

The American T-Shirt began during WWI when American troops noticed European soldiers wearing a comfortable and lightweight cotton undershirt during the hot and humid European summer days. Compared to the wool uniforms that the American soldiers wore, these undershirts were cooler and more comfortable and they quickly caught on with the Americans. Due to their simple design, these shirts became known in the USA as "T" shirts or, as we know them now, "T-Shirts", and even tee shirts.

By the 1920's, "T-Shirt" had become an official word in the American English language with it's inclusion in Merriam-Webster's Dictionary. By W.W. II, both the Navy and the Army had included the T-Shirt as standard issue underwear.

Today T-shirts are more than just underwear and worn by almost everyone. They come in all types of styles and colors. You may buy them plain or designed with phrases, images or both.

T-shirts are the most popular type of shirt. Print on demand shops are growing more popular everyday. Zazzle is one of those print on demand shops. It is also very addicted once you begin your own shop. If you don't have a Zazzle shop you can join from either of the two links below to my gallery.

These are t-shirts that are in Sandyspider Gifts under the "All in the Way You Say It" and "Chocoholic Unite!" product line categories that you will see on the shop page with the buttons that has these names.

As much as I would love to have a link here for all the funny t-shirts that were created, it can get over whelming. Plus there is a two link limit. What you see here is only a small selection of humorous slogans. Some jokes on t-shirts are a little adult like and others are a play on words. Some shirts have the quotes along with photos on the material, while the majority is funny and unique quotes.

The first one is the oil painting of my departed Aunt Alice. It is a cabin by the lake, showing the beauty of nature with the lake and the mountains. She was a talented lady. Aunt Alice taught art in school and had art classes in her home studio. I admire her talent and would like to have a fraction of that artistic flare that she had.

The second one is a self portrait that my daughter Brittany made with charcoal. She had her 2nd grade artwork displayed in the school board's building, which she had gotten back when she graduated from high school. Very few talented children have their artwork displayed there.

The third one is another oil painting for my aunt. This one I call the Cabin by the Stream.

The fourth one is a frog I had designed with special paint that is used on material. This art I had done when I was a teenager. Drew it and painted it on a t-shirt.
