Writing Online - Tweeting while Sleeping

Updated on September 27, 2011

Millions of people write online these days, but for different purposes. Most earn money from it. For people to make money online it’s important that they get traffic (visitors) to their websites or Blogs. You can get Traffic various ways, which include: Backlinking – Submitting links to Websites, sharing websites with friends and family etc

I use various ways to get traffic to my Websites – one of which includes Twitter. Twitter can be used for fun and some use it for Social Networking. I use it for both and also to acquire a lot of info. as well as learning new things. Twitter has Millions of Users and when you Tweet, some people might spot it if they follow you, others might stumble upon it if they are doing a search on a particular word.

I've been using Twitter for months and only recently came across something very useful. I can't believe I've only just discovered it. Some readers might already be aware of it: Hootsuite

One of the advantages of Hootsuite is that you can program what you want to tweet when you will not be available. Example, if you want to Tweet links twice an hour from 9 – 5pm or in the evenings when you are busy - you simply input the details and set the Schedule. They will automatically be tweeted at the time you set, while you are concentrating on other things or just relaxing.

After Time is set, click on Schedule and it will show a confirmation notice.
After Time is set, click on Schedule and it will show a confirmation notice.

Also, it doesn’t always have to be links. Example: this is a message I scheduled to Tweet this morning 16 May 2010. At the time it would Tweet, (about 9am) I was still sleeping. The message was:

Happy Sunday.

"With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts". Eleanor Roosevelt

Traffic

A few other ways to get traffic to your site to increase Adsense.

  • Sign up at Xomba - simply post your links or use it as an additional writing site.
  • Sign up at Redgage- post your links, use it as an additional site and enter easy competitions. On Redgage, you also earn for simply posting photo’s. Both are effective and I have recently received my Redgage Visa Card with a pre-paid amount.
  • Share details of your Writing sites with friends and family.
  • Include links on the Auto Signature of your email (it will automatically show on all emails you send to people)

These are just a few. I don’t want to go into great detail as this Hub is about HootSuite.

I hope you find it useful. It’s FREE. Hootsuite

Also, feel free to Hollar at me: LadyelenaUK

It would be nice to meet you on Twitter.

Update:

Psychicdog.net rasied an important question in the comments section of this Hub about the limit of posting links and his/her concern about it being seen as spamming. If you have similar thoughts, please refer to my response to the question in comments box. (The long one).

Thanks

Is there anything else to learn on Twitter? Don't leave me Ignorant...
