Things that piss me off in Iraq
STOP!!!
Things that make me mad in Iraq
I consider myself to be a reasonably non-violent kind of guy. There are only a couple of things in this world that will make me angry. One is rude people that bump into me because they are either to stupid to watch where they are going or to lazy to care. This could be just in walking or driving a vehicle. Over here in Iraq we have drivers that think they can do whatever they choose to do just because they are in a vehicle. They neglect the laws of the road simply because over here there is no road laws. However, there is still common sense and good driving skills that should be adhered to. For instance, if you drive up to a stop sign--don't you think you should STOP?
Well, they don't. I have almost been run over and made a permanent member of the road three different times. My soldiers have almost been demolished by a stupid driver several times as well. At some point we must stop and say to ourselves. WTF? One of these stupid drivers just so happened to be force protection. HaHaHaHa. They are doing a great job, protect the soldiers by running them over seems to be their motto.
Another thing that really pisses me off, and I have so far kept my cool about it, is the mess hall. Just so you know that is like a cafeteria that everybody on the base goes to eat. They have servers that are not soldiers. There is also plates in there that are compartmentalized. You get one main section for the main course, and two smaller sections for veggies or whatever. I absolutely cannot stand it when the daggum server puts food in more than one compartment. For crap sakes man, put one type of food in one compartment. Is that too much to ask for? These guys even go to school for this. I really don't want corn or beans in my spaghetti. I sure as heck don't want my french fries in some baked beans.
So what is my solution? For the drivers in Iraq... I could send my soldiers on a midnight mission to cut the fuel lines to every single vehicle on the base. That would stop the running overs or pedestrian hitting. I unfortunately do not have a solution to the servers lack of attention in food separation. I just cuss at them when they do it. As I stated earlier, I am not usually a violent guy but don't hit me or mix my food up and we'll get along famously.
By the way I would never send someone to cut fuel lines as that is a crime and just plain evil.
