So as most of the people who 'virtually' know me will know, I am a Great Big Nokia Fan Boy !! Also they will probably be aware that Nokia recently announced a couple of new phones running Windows Phone 8 (well once it's officially released by Microsoft anyway) and the reason for this little piece, mainly photos, is that for some strange reason I recieved an email from Katie from Nokia Connects http://conversations.nokia.com/category/news/ about a week before, saying I would be getting a gift through the post following the Nokia Announcement. I was one of a number of people world wide who recieved the mail, mainly well known bloggers from tech sites, so why I was included is beyond me, not complaining just extremely pleasantly surprised, and honoured to be included in such an elite group !!

I actually heard about the mail when I saw a Tweet by Jay Montano of MyNokiaBlog http://mynokiablog.com/2012/08/30/www-nokia-comwebcast-september-5th-10am-edt2pm-gmt-are-you-ready/ saying he had recieved the mail, and coincidentally as I was reading it, the mail alert on my phone went and lo and behold I had the same mail myself. For the next few days there was plenty of rumour and guessing as to what the 'Gift' would be and guesses from a new phone to a pair of headphones were suggested, no one would have or did guess the real answer to what was due to start hitting peoples doorsteps about a week after Nokia World.

Unfortunately I work six days a week and anything I order on line or am expecting to be delivered I ask to be sent to my work as I'm normally there, as a result I've ended up a day behind with the unboxing and announcement of what the gift was. It was yesterday 11/09/2012 that the packages started arriving and once again Twitter let me know, first mention I saw was a cryptic Tweet from James Burland ( @jamesburland onTwitter) with a photo of an alluminium box saying Nokia Lumia 920 on it, the natural assumption being that it was a phone ? Very clever James. As everyone with the slightest interest probably knows now, as time went by more lucky Nokia fans Tweeted that there packages had arrived, whilst mine was arriving at work and I was having my one day off !!

Box Opened Up

So the package contained a really nice box in which were the elements of the new Nokia Lumia 920, a sort of DIY jigsaw, but sadly with a few vital pieces missing . Everything that was in the box I photographed as well as I could and so they should be pretty self explanitory, also tried to do a couple with a slightly different angle and lens, in the hope I don't bore people too much.
