Apple iPhone 5 on Sale: Worldwide Release - Price - Features

Today, I am going to tell you that iPhone 5 will be my next iPhone, but of course, it is only possible if we can get one before they are sold out! It is really surprising to know that barely an hour after the Apple stock opened for sale, the estimated shipping time for iPhone 5 on sale jumped to 2 weeks for all models. France and Germany are the two countries that appear to have exceeded Apple’s own forecasts for Europe, as both these countries already show iPhone 5 shipping times even greater than 3 weeks. When iPhone 4S took about 24 hours to finish their initial stock in the online store and Apple sold 4 million iPhone 4S in the first weekend, then how many millions do you think iPhone 5 will sell?

We will have to wait for the official data to know how many of them have been actually sold out till now as the forecasts are already breathtaking. The sixth generation iPhone stock will be on sale starting coming Friday, September 21, in Australia, Canada, Germany, United States of America, Hong Kong, France, Japan, Singapore, and United Kingdom. A week later, on September 28, Apple will release iPhone 5 for 22 other countries including Spain (I think it will also release in India on 28th or by the first week of October) and by December, this wonder phone will be available in 70 more countries around the world.

The expected price of iPhone 5 in India will be approximately 32000 to 45000. Apple has priced iPhone 5 16 GB at 649 US dollars, 32 GB iPhone 5 at 749 US dollars, and 849 US dollars for 64 GB. The rates vary for India because we get subsidized prices on locked mobile phones here.

Panoramic shots up to 28 MP

Now one of the most exciting features included in iPhone 5 is the ability to take panoramic shots up to 28 megapixels. Iphone 5s’ gyroscope support, the A6 chip (Dual-Core Cortex-A15 CPU), and camera app work together to create high-resolution panoramic shots up to 28 MPs. One can also use this new feature in the new iPod Touch and iPhone 4S.

Although as usual Apple has not provided any specific technical details about the A6 processor in its new iPhone 5, AnandTech Venture anticipates that this is the first ARM Cortex-A15 that has been released in any smartphone in the market. Here also Apple is one step ahead than other companies (Nvidia with Tegra 4, Samsung Exynos 5 or Texas Instruments with OMAP 5) who do not expect to incorporate this processor until December of this year. The Cortex-A15 processor is the next generation leap in the ARM architecture described by its manufacturer as “the highest-performance (licensable) processor in the industry.” Of course, we still have to wait at least for 1 week to see the speed and number of cores in the A6 but everything suggests two times improvement in the power of the central processing unit and graphics processing unit chip.
