Apple with its iPad has created a new market - the tablet market, a market which is booming day by day. Many companies have ventured in this new field. There are some unknown and little known players too. As a result the price of the tablets has fallen considerably. Now you can find many cheap but good tablets. Here a list is compiled of the best tablets under $200. These are no doubt best 7 inch tablet under 200 available today.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

Once upon a time Samsung's Galaxy Tab was a flagship device. Now the good old days are no more. Still, this tablet is a very good buy at $199. The tablet is equipped with a 7 inches screen with 1024x600 resolution. There is a 1 GHz dual core processor backed by 1 GB RAM. There is 8GB internal storage in it. The built quality is excellent and the service centers of Samsung are state of the art.

Lenovo Ideapad A1 22282EU 7-Inch Tablet

This Ideapad tablet is made by reputed PC maker Lenovo. It is powered by Texas Instruments OMAP 3622 processor clocked at 1GHz. This tablet is quiet thin 0.5 inches. The weight of Lenovo Ideapad A1 22282 is 14.1 ounces.

It has LPDDR2 512 MB RAM and 16GB SSD storage. The screen is 7” multitouch capacitive and LED backlit.

This tablet is equipped with two cameras: 0.3 MP front facing camera for video calling and 3MP rear main camera for taking snapshots.

All these features made this one of the best tablets under 200 bucks.

The tablet is operated by Android 2.3 (gingerbread).

Amazon Kindle Fire

Price: $199

Kindle Fire needs no description. This very popular tablet was introduced by Amazon and is an instant hit. The specialty of Kindle Fire is that Amazon is selling it $3 loss per unit. It is the new craze at tablet market.

This tablet has a superb 7 inches IPS display with ant reflexive coating. The high 1024x600 resolution of the device makes text and images look sharp and crispy. It is thin (0.45”) and Light weight (14.6 ounces).

The Kindle Fire is powered by dual core 1 GHz TI OMAP processor. It has a 512 MB RAM and 8GB of storage.

The Tablet is integrated with Amazons services. You can purchase any item straight from it.

The main draw backs of Amazon Kindle Fire are that it is run by a very limited custom made Android OS. It is not possible to run every android apps in it. Moreover there is no camera in it and this tablet has no 3G or any other connectivity except Wi-Fi.

Price : $159

Nook Color is powered by Ti OMAP 3621 processor @ 800MHz. It has a high quality 7” IPS display ( 1024x600). It has 8GB storage space and 512 MB RAM.

This tablet is in direct competition with Amazon Kindle Fire. It is among one of the best among the cheap but good quality tablets.

Dell Streak 7 Wi-Fi Tablet

Price: $199.95

Dell is a familiar computer manufacturer. They created a half tablet half mobile 5 inches Dell Streak Mobile. Now they have a full 7 inches tablet without any mobile capability. It is Dell Streak 7 Wi-Fi.

The hardware of Dell Streak is good at this price range. It has a 1GHZ nVidia Tegra T20 dual core processor and 16 GB internal memory. It has a 7 inches capacitive multitouch display with 800 x 400 pixels resolution.

The tablet is equipped with a 5 MP camera in the rear and a 1.3MP at the front. It weighs 17.6 ounces.

It has a built in camera and very good speaker. It has 8 GB built in memory. The most attractive thing of creative ziio is that it has a big 10” screen with 1024 x 600 resolution. It has a 1 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM.

      I would for sure add the Samsung Tab 2 7inch. I recently purchased it for $200 (with the samsung cashback scheme) and it's a fantastic little machine.
