BlackBerry Storm Smart phone - price ,apps and forums

I bought a BlackBerry Storm mobile phone recently and I would like to share with you some of its interesting features

1. Long lasting Battery:

• Standby time: 15 days (356 hours)
• Talk Time: 6 hours
• Battery: 1400 mAhr removable/rechargeable cryptographic Lithium cell

However, if you use it to play games, browse and use other applications it will last only 3-4 days (usually). Also, some time when you charge the battery you may feel that battery is not getting charged. If it happens, what you have to do is, while keeping the cable for AC, remove the battery and replace it after few seconds. The mobile will restart and will start charging. This you can see at Options -> Status

2. Internet connection: It offers fast, reliable browsing and communication coverage. I am satisfied

3. Display: it provides

• High resolution 480 x 360 pixel color display
• 3.25” (diagonally measured)
• Transmissive TFT LCD
• Supports over 65,000 colors
• Dynamic hardware brightness control

4. Camera: It has a built-in 3.2 MP camera featuring auto-focus and auto-flash. You can also take a video. But the problem is, if there is not enough light you won't get good photos. You cannot replace your camera with a blackberry. However, it gives quality pictures when there is enough lighting.

5. Messaging: I like the sms facility of BlackBerry. It is very user friendly. The tying assistance (automatic suggestion for correct spelling) that they provide is excellent. I have not yet seen a facility to add smiles in the messages. Probably it may be there. I have not searched for it yet. Another interesting feature you can type in portrait or landscape mode.

6. Word documents: It also has facility to view and edit word documents.

7. In addition to all these it has all the features of a normal mobile

8. There are hundreds of applications for Blackberry which you can download and use it. There is also an active Blackberry forum to help with your problems.
