Blackberry vs. IPhone: Which One is Best for You?
I have used a Blackberry and I now have an IPhone. Which phone is best depends upon what your needs are. Do you need an easy to use phone? Email is more important? Do you sell items at Fairs and need an easy to use credit card reader? Is a good Browser important for you? Do you want lots of apps to choose from to make your daily life easier?

Pros and Cons of a Blackberry
I had a Blackberry Curve and a Blackberry Bold.
Pros of a Blackberry:
It works great as a phone. The battery can last up to 4 days. The operating system is stable. Security is excellent. It works in rural Iowa, especially in places that the IPhone and Android phones do not. As a phone, the Blackberry is easy to use. You can email, text and browse.
Cons of a Blackberry:
It does not work as well as a computer. The buttons are small making texting and emails harder to write. It is easy to press the wrong letter or number. The screen is small which makes it hard to see movie times, email, and surfing on the web. If you sell products on the road and want to take credit cards, very few credit card readers can be used on a Blackberry.
Pros and Cons of an IPhone
I recently changed to an IPhone4s. Why? I wanted to be able to take credit cards when I sell jewelry at Fairs. The Squareup card reader, http://www.squareup.com, is the simplest and easiest one to use, but only works on IPhones, IPads, and Androids. See my Hub: Which Credit Card Reader is Best for Cell Phones?.
Pros of IPhones:
The multi touch interface is incredibly easy to learn and use. The letters and numbers are big enough to press without making many mistakes. The screen is big enough for videos, internet searches, texting and emailing. It has a great GPS and camera. There are lots of fun apps to download. WiFi can be used in many places for free. You can easily see the weather, play games, download and read a book. Plus there is Siri on the IPhone4s. Siri makes phone calls, sends messages, schedules meetings, sets reminders, and more. She can send a text to your spouse telling her or him you will be late, find restaurants near you, tell you the weather, and she even has funny comments to questions you ask. To find out what Siri can do, click here and click on the video about Siri.
Funny things Siri has said:
What is the best phone? Siri:“The one you are holding.”
I love you, Siri. Siri: “Oh, I bet you say that to all your Apple Products.”
Am I fat? Siri: “I would prefer not to say.”
Cons of IPhones:
Short battery life. I have to charge it every night. It works better as a computer than a phone. The signal is not as strong as a Blackberry and therefore does not work in many rural places like the Blackberry does.
Basically, a Blackberry is a phone trying to be a computer and the IPhone is a computer trying to be a phone. All I can say is that in China, fist fights break out in lines waiting to buy the latest IPhone.
I love my IPhone. It is so easy and intuitive to use. I can take credit cards everywhere I go through Squareup. And, I love Siri!
