Building a cheap gaming PC for gamers in india!

Updated on November 21, 2015

Building a computer is easy but selecting the components might be a stretch if you are on a tight budget. A budget gaming PC requires a good GPU, a decent processor and a good display to play on if you just started gaming. Let's jump into building the PC.

The Processor

The main reason behind selecting an AMD processor is that they are cheaper than intel processors and the performance does not vary too much. FX-6300 is a 6 core processor which is enough for most games today. But if you want an 8 core processor then FX-8320 can do the job. Both the processors are fairly priced with FX-6300 at around Rs.7679 FX-8320 costs around Rs.11609.

The Motherboard

While selecting the motherboard always try searching for one which has enough features for future upgrading. But this being a budget PC build Asus M5A97 LE R2 is a better option considering the price and features it offers. MSI 970A-G46 is another option which costs 200 bucks less than asus. But if you really are on a tight budget MSI 760GM-P23(FX) can pretty much do the job.

Asus M5A97 LE R2........RS.6170

MSI 970A-G46...............Rs.5900

MSI 760GM-P23(FX).....RS.3193

The RAM

All the RAMs are pretty much the same when it comes to brand and what not but while buying select a RAM which has high frequency rate and buy RAMs in pair which means if you need 8 gigabyte of memory buy a pair of 4 gigabyte chips so that you get advantage of dual channels on the motherboard. Though the performance increase is very small and sometimes you won't even notice it but it is recommended. Kingston HYPERX FURY 8GB is enough for running games on a budget PC. It'll cost you around Rs.2958

The Power Supply Unit

Power supply unit provides electricity to all the components on the motherboard and the fans. Corsair VS550 is enough to run this PC. It will cost you around Rs.3153

The Graphic Card

Graphic card is the most vital component when it comes to gaming PCs. Try and spend the most on it from your budget because this is the component which is going to give you all those benchmarks! A 2GB graphic card is enough to play almost every game on this planet. Also try and find a graphic card that has a kickass cooler so that it can be overclocked if you need to get the most out of it. MSI Geforce GTX 750ti ddr5 Twin Frozer suits best for this build taking into consideration its cost and the fact that it has 2 fans! It has 2Gigs of memory and it will cost you around Rs.12999

The Hard Disk

This is where you store all your games and operating system. A Seagate Barracuda 1TB which costs around Rs.3580 would meet your gaming need. If you have an external hard disk and you don't want to spend this much on your HDD then you can go for a 500GB storage capacity disk.

Finally you'll need a case to fit all these components into and i don't recommend any case. Every gamer has his/her own taste, style and preference and it should reflect out from their case. Just make sure it has good cooling and you just made yourself a good PC to game on.

After adding all costs of the components and the case you'll end up spending a maximum amount of Rs.40000 which is a decent amount if you are building a gaming PC in india!
