Droid Bionic Overview
Droid Bionic Thoughts
Over the past few weeks I have been using the Droid Bionic from Verizon. This is my third android device and definitely not my last. The Droid Bionic replaced my HTC Thunderbolt which was also another 4g device on Verizon.
The first thing that sticks out about this device is the battery life. In comparison to the Thunderbolt which wouldn't make it through a day on a charge to the Bionic that lasts me all day is worth the switch in the first place. I mean having a paperweight instead of a phone defeats the purpose of owning a high tech device in the first place!
Over and over if you read comments about the Bionic you will sooner or later hear comments about the screen on the device. Motorola used a pentile display which isn't cared for by too many. To try to explain it would be to see things pixelated on your screen. Although my brain must begin to see the screen different over time as I don't see the pixelation near as much anymore. Even though this is the brightest screen of any device I have ever owned. Even in bright sunlight can still use the Bionic with ease!
As the first dual core phone from Verizon this phone is simply fast! No hiccups with programs and transitions. Simply great in this respect.
The overall feel of the phone is great as well. I am a fan of the Motorola "hump" though. Although it is only a slight hump it makes the feel of the phone in your hand solid. Some phones feel like they are about fly out of your hand. Not with this phone!
The camera is not the greatest. Could just be a software issue but has a hard time focusing and takes too long to actually take the picture. Hopefully this will be fixed in the future!
If the Droid Bionic is on your list of phones that you are considering to purchase I will say you will not regret the decision. It is a quality phone with great features! Just remember the latest and next greatest phone is always on the horizon.
