Facebook is Going To Take Over The World

Is Facebook really just a site for connecting with friends or is it turning into something else?

Facebook is the largest social networking site on the Internet and everybody knows it. With more than 900 million users. Many people see it as a way to connect with old friends, family and just chat with everyone they know. It is so big now that it really could mean bad news. The internet is never a safe place for kids and with networking sites like Facebook, it leaves easy access for pedophiles and other criminals that want to steal your identify or stalk you home. I myself have a Facebook but I do not like to use it too much because then I will become obsessed like the rest of the world, ha. I am not new to networking sites. In fact, I liked MySpace a lot more than Facebook. Facebook is really starting to turn for the worse.

Everywhere we go on the Internet, we see Facebook. You can’t even log into other sites without seeing a connect to Facebook button. You are constantly on Facebook even when the webpage isn’t open. Internet companies, millions of sites all use Facebook as a way to register and login. Is this really safe and secure? Everyone and their mothers have Facebook. Even my 90-year-old grandma does! I remember the time when Facebook wasn’t as huge as today. It was a social networking site for college students. Somehow it has become this mass network full of all ages from little kids to the elderly.

Many people do not see the problem here. Criminals are constantly on Facebook tracking people down and trying to find little kids to prey on. Hundreds of thousands of teenagers are getting bullied and harrassed through this site causing suicides and drop outs. Some people even put their telephone numbers and addresses for the public to see. When you check in, it shows the exact address where you are to everyone. Pretty soon Facebook will be all over everything, even more than it is now. Facebook is slowly taking over the Internet and our lives. Pretty soon, the world, ha. All across the world, people use Facebook and its odd because it wasn’t much different from MySpace to begin with. The way people read news stories are half the time through Facebook. People need to think before they post and share personal things. What caused Facebook’s mass expansion? Who know how far it will go. I wouldn’t be surprised if pretty soon our computers will need a Facebook login just to load!
