Fixing a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series which Failed to Start (New Westminster)

This laptop was brought to me on Nov 10, 2018. Owner wanted to re-install the Windows 10, install PenPower and anti-virus.

I checked the laptop. When it started up, it encountered error and kept on looping in repair. Fortunately, the recovery to factory image was available. I reset the laptop.

When I ran the PenPower installation disk, I could not read the pop-up window.

I went to PenPower website, selected and downloaded the latest installation software. It ran successfully.

I connected the writing tab and ran a test below:

I checked the list of software inside. It has anti-virus software McAfee.

I ran windows update to update the Window 10. To check the laptop further, I used it to prepare this HUB page. It works well. I am happy that this laptop is ready for service again.
