Latest Gadgets And Technology

Updated on July 21, 2013

We seem to be progressing at an incredible rate with Technology these days. It was only a few years ago that the cell phone caused people to jump around in excitement. But these days, every time that you turn on your TV, it seems that the latest cool Gadgets are rushing to the front of Sci-Fi imagination.

We rush out to buy a new cell phone only to realise a week later that the latest hi-tech one has out stripped the one that you just spent hundreds of dollars on. You can't win. But here is the good thing. It doesn't matter, because at the end of the day, we don't care. Why?

Because the technology that matters is much more interesting than an old cell phone. We like futuristic things. And this is where the latest batch of Gadgets has outstripped the rest and is, well, just plain cool. Now, I know that most of the Tech interest is with the male of the species, but these days this is not necessarily so. I love anything that grabs my imagination.

I grew up watching Star Trek and James Bond. I love it all. Not that I am likely to have a go at some of these Gadgets on this page. Well, maybe, but probably under supervision! For example, the DTV Shredder is just up my street! I would love to go and take this out for a spin.

Then again, I think I am veering towards the Jetlev Flyer, at least if you crash, you land in lovely soft sea water! Unless you drown! But we don't want to go there! The Ocean is yours to conquer. Come and take a look at these, and see what you think. And check out the Seabreacher X Watercraft! Fantastic!

DTV Shredder

Apart from going for a walk in all sorts of weather across rocky terrain, what else is there to do? Well, the very clever machine heads have come up with the perfect excuse for playing outdoors! Enter the DTV Shredder. A cross between a Skateboard, Tank and a motorcross bike, The Shredder is the next generation of vehicle that will cover all terrain. Even the US Military have got their eyes on this one. And when you see how it works you will understand the reason why. Not only is it great for all those sports fanatics that like throwing themselves up and down the sides of mountains and sliding along on the snow just balanced on a board, it is also good for finding or tracking military personnel.

Standing sideways on the Shredder, a bit like a skateboard, the rider is propelled along by two enormous caterpillar tracks, just like on a Tank!

Not only can it be folded up, it can also drag a trailer behind it. The speed may not be much to write home about, but believe me, 30 miles an hour can be quite fast when you are balancing on a small board and bouncing over heavy terrain. Great Stuff!

You want to be James Bond? Well, now you can!

We have all seen the films. James Bond soaring through the sky on his crazy Jet Pack. Flying over the buildings and landing perfectly back down on the ground, the perfect landing. Well, we as human beings are not meant to fly, so our landing would probably be a bit more awkward! But don't let that put you off. Now you can have your own personalised Jet Pack.

The good thing is that if it goes wrong, you won't be splattered all over the concrete! This is purely for the ocean. The JetLev Flyer is great fun, and I am sure when they all get the hang of it, there will be sports, and races and loads of other things going on which involves big kids playing like, well, big kids!

The JetLev is tethered via a flexible supply hose, which in turn is attached to a boat like unit that trails along behind you. With a 4 stroke engine, it powers the whole thing and allows you to do all sorts of acrobatic moves. The great thing is that it is safe! You can have an accident and still float to the surface! The whole thing is very buoyant! I am serious, I really want a go at this!

Seabreacher X Watercraft

I love gadgets. Simple as that, but they can get a bit boring after a while. But the ones that I love are the big ones. And I mean big. The one that you can combine outdoor activity with lots of Tech fun. That's why this one appeals to me, big time. A cross between a boat, submarine and a shark! How cool is that?

The Seabreacher X Watercraft, is a state of the art submersible that can literally do all sorts of things! It can whizz around above or below the water! It can even do stunts! It jumps out of the water like a shark! How cool is that? I sometimes forget that I am a women, I thought it was only men that felt like this over technology! I feel like a kid when I see these sort of things! Great fun!

How does it work? Well, evidently they have a fully vectored thrust system that mimics the tail action of sharks and dolphins. Don't ask me what I just said, I have no idea! But that's what it says on the packet, so to speak!

After watching the video, I really wanted to have a go! I love this. It reminds me of when I was a child. Anybody else remember Stingray? Yep? You got it!

Water Sports of the Future

Apart from terrain technology, the water sports variety are coming on in leaps and bounds. But of course however much fun they are, the technology can also be used for more serious matters. Whenever we make something for fun, it also helps our military to develop new things. These gadgets above don't come cheap though! If you are planning on buying yourself any of the above, you are going to have to probably sell your house to get one! Each of these are thousands of dollars. So the only people that will enjoy them are the rich and famous! That figures!
