Garmin Nuvi 1390 LMT

The Garmin Nuvi 1390 LMT is equipped with Lifetime Map Updates and live traffic updates. It offers lane guidance and bluetooth compatibility, that will allow one to have the most updated maps and navigation information.

Map updates are provided for download up to 4 times a year.

The 1390 LMT has amazing interface.

The interface allows one to use the unit with ease that will never be experienced in other similar devices.

The 1390 LMT offers HotFix satellite, which gives a precise calculation about your position in a much easier and faster way. This function can not be found in other devices.

Main Features of 1390LMT

At the most basic level, every Garmin nuvi comes with preloaded 2-D and 3-D maps and several interest points from hotels and restaurants to ATM's and gas stations.

A touch screen for entering destinations and hearing voice directions, emergency locator and built-in memory with the choice to expand it with a microSD card.

Some of the other features include, currency and measurement converters, calculator, JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones and an anti-theft system.

The connectivity of the unit is excellent and perfect.

Today the 1390LMT includes Bluetooth wireless technology that helps in driving. The technology allows one to connect the unit with the compatible Bluetooth technology that you can talk hands free while driving.

All that is needed is to press the button on the touch screen and talk through the built in microphone.

The unit is very amazing.

This unit has a function that you could never find in any of the other ordinary navigators.

Boxed Accessories

Garmin nuvi packaging usually includes a vehicle suction cup mount, USB cable, dashboard disc and a quick-start manual.

Nuvis with the "T" designation has an FM traffic receiver; a vehicle power cable affixed to it.

Some nuvis come with an offer to try a service for free for a limited time period.

The Nuvi 1690 is the only entry in the 1600 series which comes bundled with a free, two-year subscription to Garmin nüLink services, which is for users to get familiar with local areas.

Bluetooth Wireless

There are more advanced nuvis that have additional features such as Bluetooth wireless.

This technology presents hands-free dialing and voice-activated navigation, MP3 player, fuel-efficient route calculator and street maps that extend beyond North America and other countries.

Some navigators have the "T"nuvis packaged with wireless FM traffic receivers for traffic alerts or "W"widescreen display designation affixed to them.

In some cases, the navigator might have both as "WT." In the 205 series, and the 265T series, and also a 265WT series, which signifies that it has a wide-screen display in addition to an FM receiver.

Benefits and Features

With nüvi 265WT's widescreen display, you'll always get the bigger picture as compared to the nuvi 265T.

You can easily view map details, driving directions, photos and more in brilliant color.

The 4.3-inch display is easy to read from any direction because of its sunlight-readable screen.

Anyone who wants a reliable and simple navigation device with a bit more screen will not be disappointed by purchasing a Garmin.

      Hi Peggy,

You are correct the technology today is awesome. Every automobile has a Garmin Portable system or another type of GPS navigator for directions. Maps are becoming a thing of the past. Thanks for your comment.
