How To Set Up A Blog

Setting up a Blog is Easy

Setting up a blog is really easy. A good place to start with someone who has no experience is to start with a blogging website like Hubpages, where you don't have to worry about learning how to find a domain or set up web hosting. The advantage here is you don't have to spend any money to get started and it is really easy.

However, you do need to abide by the rules of the blogging site and if the site ends up closing, you could be at risk of losing your content. And then all of your hard work could go down the drain.

So eventually you really should set up your own blog. And I suggest setting up a WordPress Blog. When you have your own blog it gives you way more freedom and total control. Plus in the long run, you can make more money.

If you don't know how to set up a blog or website, there are lots of places on the Internet that offer free training to help you get started.

Different Kinds of Blogs

There are several different kind of blogs you can create, Here are a few of them:

Information blogs: Information blogs are where you are informing readers about a specific topic of interest. These are also considered news topic blogs.

How To Blogs: These blogs are where you are teaching people how to do something. If you have a certain expertise then you can help others with a how to blog.

Review blogs (also known as niche blogs): This is where you are writing a review about a specific topic and you are sharing products within this niche.

Journals: This is a personal blog where you are writing about yourself and your daily life. These are fun because you can get to just be yourself.

Now that you have your blog up and running you probably wanted to learn about how to make money with your blog.

Here are a few ways to monetize your blog:

Sell Products: You can sell your own products through your blog. This can be physical products that you will ship out or it could be a digital product like an ebook that your write. This method does take a lot of work on your behalf as you are the person responsible for the product development and customer service issues.

Affiliate Marketing: This is when you sell other peoples products. The way it works, is when you sell a product the company your are marketing will ship out the product for you. This is my favorite method because it is really easy. I write reviews and if someone buys the product that I write about, I get paid. I don't have to ever touch a product.

Google Adsense: This is where Google places ads on your site based on topic of your blog and blog posts. This is easy peasy as well. You simply put the code that Google gives you and then just write blog posts to your blog. Google will automatically place ads that match your blog posts or what your customer is searching for. There are many other sites similar to Adsense. Two popular ones are Chitika and Bidvertizer.

These are just a few ways to monetize your site.
