Google.com.bd Hacked by Tiger M@te
As you can see from the screen-shot above the Google home page in Bangladesh was hacked earlier today by an individual calling himself "Tiger M@te".
It would appear that the DNS has been compromised, allowing content from a third party location to be displayed when someone tries to visit the official Google.com.bd page. There is some fancy tricky being used when one first tries to access the page, the browser window re sizes several times and the page starts to auto scroll downwards. Music is played and graphics appear. As far as I can tell there is nothing malicious on the page. It appears to be a self congratulating gloat.
This was first reported on the Google web search help forum earlier today and has been confirmed by several other users from different locations including the U.K, the U.S, Central Europe and Bangladesh.
For those of you who are technically minded I suggest you check out the tracert that was posted by a user on the official Google forum - here
I have come across several web users are able to visit the Google.com.bd site without any problems while others see the hacked page.
Tiger M@te is a notorious hacker who specializes in defacing websites from prominent companies, past victims have included American Express and Airtel.
