Googles Plus One Social Networking

Google + Continues Rise In Popularity

When Google + hit the Internet its destiny was questioned. Not many people could believe that a new Social Network would give Facebook a run for it's money.

Google + first started to invite people to join their Social Network community. I remember receiving my invitation and of course I jumped straight in. What I found so likable about it was that the people I made connections with were mainly strangers from around the world. I noticed that residence from other countries were posting their local news video clips, posted images taken in their country and the jokes posted implied an off beat different humor I was not accustomed to. Compared to my experience with Facebook, I found Google + intriguing. The first few years of using Facebook I only connected with friends and family. If I did not know someone personally, I did not accept the friendship request. Because of what I learned from using Google + I've increased my friends at Facebook and that has helped me increase my Facebook Group members and Facebook Page Likes.

Back to Google +. The concept of Circles confused me at first but once I got the hang of it I now use Circles as folders. I have an Internet Connection Circle, Friend Circle, Family Circle, Article Writer Circle and so on.

As time went on Google + started Communities. If you are familiar with Facebook and Linkedin Groups then look at Google + Community as a group.

Another perk to Google + are Hangouts. Google has connected the Google + platform to Youtube and Hangouts are similar to having a meeting at the office. It's amazing how you can feel like you are in the same room with people you are doing business with from another country or from a few towns away from the comfort of your home. Another plus to Hangout is that the service is FREE.

Google Plus Profiles

Because Google + accounts are linked to gmail and Youtube accounts, you can have several Google + Profiles. I have two Youtube channels and an Adsense account. I have three Google + Profiles filled out. I field in the fields to link all my Social Networks and Domains names and filled in the basics to the Profile. In my opinion the Google + Profile fields help you create an impressive semi-resume very similar to Linkedin. Taking the time to fill in all of the Google + Profiles fields also helps with Internet Marketing. You fill in the fields to set it and forget it advertising.

I recorded a video showing how I use Google + and many other Profile platforms as a free way to Internet Market online.

Finally A Google Social Network

Have you heard of google +1? I've heard about it and kept an eye out for it and finally was invited to join. Today's date is 8/18/11 and I've been using it the past few weeks. Of course there is a learning curve when using something new but I'm here to share with you that I am impressed. I feel the google +1 social network will continue to expand and probably give Facebook a run for their money.

I decided to start a hub speaking about the google +1 and will use this hub to update you and others when new features are added to the google +1. I can tell you that google +1 has many new features coming out and I've signed up to receive an invitation to all of them the moment they are ready to accept more members. I had to wait for an invitation in order to create a google +1 account.

Perks I Enjoy Using Google +1

I've been signing in daily to get use to the google +1 platform. I'm still adjusting but almost everyday I sign into my account there are new features available. Let me list what I feel are perks to using the google +1.

One of the main reasons why I like to use google +1 is because it offers a feature titled "Circles". Circles allow you to keep people into specific groups and you can view each groups activity separately. Of course you can create your own unique Circle to keep people in groups but the default setup goes like this. Friends, Family, Acquaintances, Following and Internet Connections. These Circles come in handy when I want to post a message to my "Stream". A Stream is similar to a Wall at Facebook. I write a message in the stream and I can send that message to only my Internet Connections all at the same time. If I want to send a message to my family, I write a message in the stream and choose the Circle Family and my message only goes to my family. How cool is that? I love it. I don't always want to share every message with my entire network of Circles but rather a specific group. Again, I like this feature very much. If you use Facebook I'm sure you have noticed that anything you post on your Wall is shared with everyone you are friends with or you have to send private messages. With google +1 you have many options to how you share your information posted to your Stream. You can also add a video, photo and a link when you send out a message through your stream.

If you are familiar with Facebook, a Stream is simply a Wall post.

Additional Features

The google +1 offers it's members the ability to upload photos, videos and links.

Create A Profile

Creating a profile gives you the opportunity to inform visitors what you're all about AND within your profile you can post links. Within my profile I list all my referral links to the revenue sharing websites I use, my YouTube Channel links, my blog URLs and my website URLs. Posting links within your google +1 profile is a free way to advertise. Think about it for a moment. The google +1 will go public and hundreds of thousands of people will join. Those hundreds of thousands of people will eventually turn into millions of google +1 users. Imagine the free exposure you will receive.

Better Search Engine Optimization

Having a completed profile within your google +1 account will help with search engine optimization too so having your referral links, YouTube Channel, blog and websites listed can only benefit you.

Google +1 Sparks

There is a feature called "Sparks". You click on Sparks and type into a field what you are interested searching for and Sparks shows search results for you so you don't have to go and search for the information yourself. Sparks brings the information to you.

When you click on Sparks you will be brought to a field to type in what you are searching for. For example, I typed into the field "Adsense Revenue" and Sparks showed a list of links. When I see a link's title that interest me I click the +1 button and that link is saved under the "Adsense Revenue". I then can save the information I found by clicking the "Add Interests" button and the information is saved on the left side of my Stream. When I want to view the saved information again I just click the "Adsense Revenue" under the Sparks section and I am brought to all the links I +1 so I don't have to search again.

Google +1 Hangouts Through YouTube

I signed up and waiting for my invitation to create a google +1 Hangout through my YouTube Channels. If you would like to learn more about creating a google +1 Hangout through your YouTube Channel, you can do so by CLICKING HERE. This is not my blog but you can learn more about it and keep up-to-date with new features offered by google +1.

I will be updating this Hub regularly. I look forward to any comments about google +1.
